Great Product!

Used it in my Eheim 2015 classic and it worked great and my water is crystal clear. My water turned cloudy since I started using my 2015. But after reading forums added a pad of these to my filter, a whole different ballgame. My fish were so happy I guess they started crossbreeding( Fantail and a blackmoor) and laid hundreds of eggs seriously after a week of having these lol.

These work wonderfully in the Fluval FX5 - a long time ehiem fan for over 35 years Ive been using these filters for larger tanks (up to 300 gal.) in pairs and theyre incredibly effective especially for messy fish. Of course, nothing polishes the water like a Vortex Diatom Filter which can filter out debris and pathogens down to one micron in size but these are supplementary filters meant only to be used once in a while. These pads although not as effective will remove particles down to about 10 microns. I run four FX5s and replace these about every 60 days. Like the white foam which is for coarser debris its imperative to replace them or your GPH will suffer and the re direction of water flow not being able to pass through can result in ahigher degree of bypass - an inherant problem with the FX5s in general. These do keep your water on the pristine side and the value on Amazon is excellent.

I use the Fluval FX5 filter for a 125 gallon RES turtle tank. For anyone out there that knows anything about turtles the are messy! With that said since I switched to the FX5 my tank has never been so clean and I dont have to clean the filter nearly as often as any other filter I have used on this tank in the past 4-5 years.

Theyre ok, I guess. I noticed a SLIGHT improvement in my water clarity. I have 4 fancy goldfish in a 110 gallon and I feed Repashy Super Gold, so my tank is pretty messy. Im running an FX4 was unhappy with the clarity of my water. I put a fresh water polishing pad in the filter weekly and rinse out the old one to re-use. The pads are not very durable and Ill probably only get 2 uses out of them before they disintegrate. They are fairly inexpensive though, so I MIGHT buy them again...I dont know. I ended up adding a separate water polishing filter and some Purigen and my water is finally clear enough to satisfy me.

I love them, I always have them on hand for polishing water. I use them in sunsun 603b canister, and in cut to fitnAquaclear 50, 70 and 110 hob. Works perfect

We love these for our FX6 filter. Have a cichlid tank with 30 fish and these filters are amazing!
