It work just fine

Fit right into the square hole, adjust it up, and now my hood sets flush in that side again. If you replace one, be sure to set it low at first, and close your hood carefully, so you dont break it. My hoods latch had been set very low by the previous owner, presumably in an attempt to make up for the looseness of the old, broken hood rest bumper. So, when I got this one installed and adjusted to make the hood flush, it would no longer latch closed. It only took loosening 2 small bolts to adjust the latch so it was set in the correct position so it would completely latch, but not move up and down on either side. Oh, and when you get this installed, be sure and check the other side, too, before seeing if you need to adjust the latch.

Exactly what I needed, app states it doesnt fit a 2000 explorer but it does.

Matched the 1 original I still had perfectly. Since it was such a perfect match I swapped them both out so that both would be new.
