I got tired of lugging around my portable blu-ray player for work with its mediocre sound and small screen. An idea popped into my head wondering if I could find a portable blu-ray player that is small, and a nice big monitor for it. I came across one weird brand name one that I had delivered today and tested it out and it sucked. Didnt like the way it stood on its case. Then shopping around for others that were available for same day delivery I came across this portable monitor and figured I would try it out. It comes with a magnetic case that lets you position it in plenty of options. The picture quality is great on it, setting it up was a breeze. The sound is ok, but its better than what I was expecting. All and all I like this and would recommend it.

I work from home and use a 24 inch stationary monitor along with my 13 inch work laptop at home. I was looking for a portable monitor to pair with my work laptop for travel and be able to work from essentially anywhere. This monitor fits the bill perfectly. I mainly work with data so picture quality wasnt a top priority for me. As long as the characters are clear and the screen is bright enough thats all I need. This monitor far exceeds those requirements. The picture quality is excellent. I plan to request they send me the lightening adapter (which they say they will send for free) so I can use it with my iphone to mirror whats on my phone to a larger screen. Ill then use it on long haul flights to watch movies or shows Ive downloaded and will not have to travel with an Ipad in order to watch movies on a larger screen. For what I paid ($79) this was a great investment. Most of the similar monitors i saw on Amazon were at least $100. Three things Id wish for in this monitor: 1) I wish they supplied a storage bag for the cords. Each cord comes in a ziplock style plastic bag that you can use for a while but would be nicer if they had a dedicated bag or pouch that stored all the cords together for easy travel. 2) The case is a bit flimsy. It is magnetic so the magnet holds it firmly to the back of the monitor which is metal, but the screen is not magnetized so the flap that folds over the screen can easily come off. The edges of the screen are metal so the edges of the screen are held on to the case but its not firm and I could see the case becoming dislodged during travel. The case is also relatively soft, so Id be careful with putting it in a bag with other devices or hard items without padding because the screen could easily get cracked. I wish the case had some sort of a clasp or elastic cord that fits around a button to make it more secure. 3) I wish the entire unit were a bit lighter. I havent traveled with it yet but it seems like it will add at least a couple of pounds to my carry-on. This point isnt a dealbreaker for me because I think its a substantial well made monitor but it would be icing on the cake.

Explanation: The title of this product says “USB-C HDMI Second External Monitor for Laptop…” and “Premium Smart Cover” and I think that’s a little bit misleading. In the product description, you’ll notice that the screen itself has a mini HDMI port, which is different from regular HDMI. The HDMI in the product title is referring to the port you need on YOUR device. On the plus side, they offer to send you an adapter for free if you need one for mini DisplayPort or Lightning connections. I’ve reached out for mini DP and I’m waiting to hear back. I also wouldn’t describe the cover as “premium” or “smart” in any way. It’s magnetic and just fine. As for the actual device, I feel like I have to handle it the same way as I would a raw egg—it feels delicate and as if it could break very easily. They packaged it well and included a warning to be careful with it, too. I definitely wouldn’t feel comfortable tossing it in a backpack or carry-on bag unless it’s in a hard, solid case. The “premium smart cover” does not qualify for this whatsoever. I tested the display using a different computer than the one I got it for (one that has an HDMI port) and it works fine. If you’re on a budget and need the bare minimum fast, this will work for you. If you’re looking for something more long-term, definitely splurge on something more quality.

Super handy extra monitor that gets its power from USB-C so it only requires the one wired connection for both video and power (and sound, but I havent tried that). The case is nice to protect it so you can easily slide it into a bag next to your laptop. The case doubles as a stand, its pretty fumbly to figure out but once its set up it works great.

The monitor came quickly and all the cords to connect it are included. I have not had a chance to hook it up but I’m very impressed with the purchase so far!

Needed a monitor to supplement the small monitor of the laptop. The 15.6” ForHelp monitor was the perfect size and weight. The resolution is fantastic. For my Lenovo work laptop, to get started it was a simple plug and play with a single USB-C, which was included in addition to other cable options i.e HDMI. Instructions were easy and to follow and the packaging is really nice. The product seems substantial and that it will hold up to the expected wear and tear of a portable peripheral. So far customer service has been very responsive, receiving confirmation of a warranty request email - 2 years! Nice piece of equipment for a fair price - highly recommended!

Ever since covid hit, I have worked remotely. We homeschool our kids, too (and did prior to covid). This allows us to have some great flexibility for travel. However, our love for travel has left me in less-than-ideal situations for work because I like to have more than a single laptop screen, and my work laptop is small. Finally, I decided to get a portable monitor. LIFESAVER. It is bigger and clearer than my work laptop display. Im not a big gamer, but I tried one to see how it worked, and it was crystal-clear. Yes, it only arrived yesterday. However, I have tested it on multiple devices, including an iPad, a MacBook Pro, a ThinkPad, etc. It has worked without any drivers on Windows, iPadOS, MacOS, and Linux. I havent tried my phone and I have no reason to do that, anyway. While I havent owned it for very long, I recommend this thus far!

This portable monitor is great for people who aren’t exactly tech friendly. I’ve normally only had laptops so when I bought a mini Mac to save money and used this portable monitor for the screen I was a little bit out of my realm but the instructions are clear, everything is labeled and they give you all the cords and plugins you could possibly need! It’s really slim, a little heavier than I thought but not by a lot and the screen itself is great! Overall if you’re looking for a portable option that isn’t super expensive this is the perfect product!

Ive had this screen for about 3 weeks and it works great! The cable packages come well labeled, so hooking it up to my laptop was simple. The sound will default to the screen but is easy to switch back to the laptop. Sound and screen work as expected and the color difference wasnt noticeable between screens for me. Literally its a plug and play device - I have used it for both my asus personal laptop and my dell work laptop with no issues. The screen is a great size, the case it comes in easily converts to a stand, and the settings are simple to use. For the price, this has exceeded my expectations.
