> 3 dayIm not a big fan of Amiibos and this was one of the first ones I purchased. It is of high quality and great detail. Whether you use it as a Legend of Zelda amiibo or if you just collect Legend of Zelda items, this is a pretty cool piece.

> 3 dayGiven that these figures have at least two purposes, Ill strive to address both of those in this review. First off, as a figure itself- Link has been the most disappointing for me. The actual detail that was put into him is great, and he portrays the famous hero of Hyrule very well! However, the choices made for posing are questionable, since unless youre on or below eye level, all youre going to see is the top of his head. I realize they were made to mimic the trophies in Super Smash Bros, but its made this figure look a bit silly. Beyond that, why they chose that particular shade of yellow for the stand is beyond me. Now, for the NFC portion- right now its uses are fairly limited, given that so few games are compatible with Amiibo. First, well talk about Smash Bros. Within that particular game, these are quite fun- its essentially an NPC you can bring with you into Smash matches. You can change the costume, level it up through fights, and feed it items to boost its base stats. It learns and adapts to fight beside (or against) you, and it does this very, very well. However, you cannot play as your amiibo or use it in non-smash modes, likely since it would greatly unbalance the single player experience. While disappointing, its understandable as this is supposed to be a game based on skill, not how many items do I have to eat until Im unbeatable? Its also compatible with Hyrule Warriors, where it will unlock a new (and what looks to be very fun!) weapon for use in battle- giving it more use than most other Amiibo right now. It will also unlock a costume for your Mii in Mario Kart. I do love this figure, and hes probably the most useful of the Amiibo right now- but some questionable design choices knocked him down a few pegs compared to the other Amiibo I own. Still, I fully recommend this to anyone who wants to really improve/enhance their Smash Bros experience, or if youre just a fan of the series and want to show Nintendo your support.
