Freud 34-104: 1/8 Radius Rounding Over Bit, EA, Multi

The physics tell the story here. This bit has 2 extra cutters and because of that there is less load being put on each cutter. If you think about it, it all comes down to speed and feed. If the speed at which the workpiece passes the bit is the same, each cutting tooth sees half the load. Best router bit Ive owned over 25 years of woodworking.

I have bought & happily used many Freud router bits. This is the first time that I have been disappointed. The solid steel bearing left a burned streak as I used it for the first time. I instantly stopped as soon as it was noticed & have now finished sanding it out. I have just used a solid steel bearing for the first & last time; I will make sure that I never buy a router bit that has a solid bearing again. Lesson learned. The immovable solid steel caused this problem which doesnt happen with the usual movable bearing. I replaced it with a Whiteside bit that worked wonderfully.

This bit is all you have read about in the ads. It does an amazing job of cutting cleanly. I routed cross grain on red oak taking the whole bite in one pass. No tearout. I will gradually get this quadra cut bit to replace my others as they wear out. You wont regret buying this baby.

I often like to ease the edges of my woodworking projects. In a palm router, this is a quick solution. It produces a clean edge without the need for further sanding or other clean up.

Another flawless cut. Time saver, requires very little sanding prior to finishing. I own a few Freud Quadra Cut bits & will purchase more.

This is my 18th Freud router bit, and I wont buy any other brand. They are precisely manufactured and stay sharp forever. Great buy. Plus Amazon carries sizes I cant find in local hardware stores.

Freud blades and bits are very high quality.

Used this bit to round edge of a soapstone counter. Profiled the 33x22 sink cutout and the entire perimeter of the 36x102 slab in one pass and the cutter still seems sharp. No chips in the stone either. One annoying thing was the bearing left scratches in the stone... perhaps the friction between the stone and bearing wasnt enough to keep the bearing from spinning. Nothing some sandpaper didnt fix.
