I needed a longer bit for some of the projects I was doing and this worked great. Getting the bit out of the package was a little harder than it should be and I had to find another case to store it in so I dont accidentally cut myself just trying to get it out. The bearing and cutting diameter were good on the one I received and it cut great for a long time. By the end of my project it did start to dull and I got more burning than I like. I will see if I can sharpen it.

Freud makes top quality tools, and this bit is no exception. This bit cuts very cleanly and is so sharp it makes shavings (not dust) when I cut with it. If you look in the picture you will see the shavings and the super clean and smooth cut the bit made in end grain rock maple. The bit I received cuts perfectly flush and does not have the problem that some other reviewers have reported. of the bearing and cutting edges not lining up.

Good product and seems durable did the job I needed it to do. Cut hard red oak like butter. Very accurate and it rolls well. Will buy other bits in the future.

This bit is a definite step up from the cheap bits that are similarly priced for a multi-pack. The bit cuts well and the bearing spins well. Make sure that you have good contact with the bearing as the bearing guard will cut into the template. I subtracted a star do to a chip in one of the carbide cutters. It looks like the tool was dropped during packaging. There’s a small chunk of carbide missing and a a scrape across the body. I know this isn’t a high end bit, but Freud is known to be better than that. Overall a great bit and works well on the HDPE sheet I need it for. Would recommend.

Was hesitant to use this on OSB, figured it would tear out. I was surprised when I was done and there were nice clean edges, even more surprised when I was all done and the bit was as sharp as it had been out of the box. I have since added more Freud router bits to go with my collection.

Works really well and keeps everything straight and aligned.

I received one that did a 1/16th over cut so not flush but the other I bought wouldnt cut so I dealt with this one. I gave it a 3 star because it did cut well. Last freud bit I bought worked well and was as described but hey brands change I guess. If I had been doing something that required true flush like many things I do I would have destroyed something

I had never used a flush trim bit before but was making a curved top for a dresser and a bed. After making the form this worked well to create a smooth curve in ¾ inch maple plywood. Bonus. I made two end panels for the baby bed each from two pieces of laminated ¼ inch maple plywood equaling about 7/16 inch thickness. One was square; one was not. Decided to use the square end panel as a pattern; laid the un-square end panel on the square end panel; clamped them together. Using the flush trim bit, I was able to square the un-square panel.

I make a lot of cornhole board sets for my friends, and the part that Ive always hated was cutting the hole. I did a few with a jigsaw, but the holes were always a little ragged. Then I bought a 6 hole saw which made a nice circular hole, but the process was similar to brushing the teeth of an irritable mountain lion. I broke a heavy duty corded drill and nearly my wrists. A friend suggested using a flush cut router bit and a 6 circular template. He works in a metal fabrication shop and created a really nice template for me, but a simple wood one would suffice. If nothing else, Home Depot sells pre-cut cornhole boards which could be used, but there might be other solutions. I was amazed at how easily I was able to cut a perfect hole using this bit. Like buddah!

Im giving the bit itself 5 stars. This is my first Freud bit, I wanted to start small and cheap to decide for myself whether all the hype over Freud bits is true...it is! The bearing is silky smooth, the cut is clean and burr free and the edge stay sharp, what else could you want!? As for the product description, watch out. The Amazon description claims you will get a two flute bit and a three flute bit...I figured, not a bad price for two bits. What actually arrived?...a single, two flute bit. After chatting with customer service, he agreed the description did indeed reference a two bit(pardon the pun) set, and agreed to send a replacement. The replacement, another single two flute bit...after talking again, Amazon agreed to refund $5 to my CC and allow me to keep both bits(the original and the replacement). So in the end, I got two bits for ~8, not bad, but Im not sure if theyd do the same again. So, bit quality, a resounding 5 stars, product description, 1 star, Amazon CS, 5 stars...sounds like a 4 star average to me!
