Greater than one weekThis is a slow drive and thats OK. I assumed slow goes with sturdy. In this case the drive runs normally, but files began to just vanish after powering down and re-starting the drive just days later.. Then copying files began to fail and other files became corrupt making the drive completely unreliable. The drive is used with MAC OS APFS format. I have validated that this is the only drive with the issue in a 5-drive rotation of other brand drives

> 3 dayNeeded a sturdy drive with a lot of space and in these front this drive succeeded. It’s very fast once connected and transfers are quick. My only issue with it is that sometimes it takes a while for the computer to recognize it. It’s happened a lot and it can be a bit frustrating. Tried it on a couple of my computers and it happened on all of them (MAC and Windows). Don’t really know what it is but just something to look out for. Other than that, great option!

> 3 dayDurable? Rugged? No way. This thing turned into a useless brick in less than two years and took all my data with it. Should have listened to the reviews warning about the shoddiness of Western Digitials products. Ill never buy from them again.
