> 24 hourI live in a desert climate, so I dont have to deal with rain very often (and dont even own an umbrella) but do have a lot of sun. I burn easily and ordered this umbrella specifically for the UV protection. I think it looks like a good-quality umbrella. I love that it opens and closes with just a press of a button. The lake blue is a really pretty color. I really wish the handle was longer. Maybe this is just a standard handle length for an umbrella? I looked at the product photos again, and it does show a length of 22.5 inches, but it feels so short. I showed it to my husband, and he was certain it would extend. He almost broke it trying to pull the handle up more. Dont do that! When you press the button and it pops out, that is the handle length. I am planning to use this while I sit in a camp chair and watch my daughter play tennis. If the handle was longer, I could prop it beside me, but I will have to hold it up by my head instead, which doesnt sound ideal.

> 24 hourButton for open and close is my favorite feature. It works well and is easy to use - good for rain or sun.

> 24 hourThis is a useful little umbrella. It is always a good idea to carry an umbrella in you vehicle when there is the possibility of rain. With a compact umbrella you can just carry it along all the time. This is a stout little umbrella. The slick silver colored material on the outside that will reflect sunlight, it is also waterproof. The extend mechanism has a pretty strong spring that helps to extend the umbrella when you open it. Because the spring is so strong, it takes quite a bit of effort to close the umbrella back to the catch. A person that is less strong may have a little trouble getting the umbrella all the way closed.

> 24 hourThe umbrella when unfolded has nice coverage, yet when folded will fit in the door pocket of our auto. Perfect from that standpoint. Only time will tell as to its durability, but initial impressions are positive. It folds and unfolds with relative ease. The faux (?) wood handle is comfortable. Although the outside of the umbrella is shiny/reflective for sun deflection, our needs will be for rain protection only.

> 24 hourI love auto-open/close umbrellas, and this did not disappoint, almost. Just push the button and it opens up. To fold it, push the button again and pull the knob down to lock. However, when it folds, there is no distinct lines where the fold are meant to be. The fabric feels slightly rubbery so it does not fold sharply along any lines. This is a big difference from my Eddie Bauer umbrella that folds perfectly every time. If you dont mind this little quirk, this umbrella will be just fine for its intended purpose. Just stuff it in the included pouch and no one will know the difference.

> 24 hourI bought this for when we walk across the international bridge for our shopping and dental visits in Mexico. Depending on the day, the line for the trip going back across through U.S. customs, and passport checks, can be quite a long wait. If we are left standing in line outside the building it can get sweltering in the hot sun. Having a large umbrella helps a bit. I chose this one because of the UV Protection. It opens with a click of a button but the wooden handle with the button isn’t very large. It also closes with a click of the same button which is a nice feature except for when you hit the button accidentally. Because the handle is so short the button takes up half of it so accidentally hitting it happens quite a lot. I’ve taken to holding the umbrella by the metal piece above the handle to keep from pressing the button. Rain drops bead up on the fabric which is a great feature. The strap will hang down from the edge of the umbrella and flop around so we just secure it to itself when it’s open. It is recommended to dry the umbrella before closing it. Luckily it dries quickly, or you can quickly dry it with a towel. At first I had difficulty getting the strap snapped back into place after closing it but realized that I was trying to wrap it around to far up. It needs to be wrapped right above the handle.

> 24 hourThe opaque silver coating on the umbrella provides much more complete shade than uncoated umbrellas. It also serves to reflect light and keep the shade cool. It sheds rain well. While I find the handle a little short, it is sufficient for a small, packable umbrella. The button opens the umbella easily and helps to close it as well. The spring in the main shaft is strong enough to still need a bit of strength to finish closing it. I was disappointed to find the metal frame on an umbrella advertised as being fiberglass, a material much more forgiving to the occasional times when a gust of wind might blow it inside out. See the kitchen magnets sticking to the frame in the photo. The magnets wouldnt stick to fiberglass.

> 24 hourI got this for a trip to Europe, my skin is the color of a sheet of paper so I need all the sun protection I can get! I originally got the larger, wind resistant version of this umbrella but I found it to be too heavy for me to carry for any long length of time so I replaced it with this one. Overall I like it but I haven’t had the opportunity to use it in real life yet. My impressions are overall good, the weight is doable for almost anyone, the size makes it very easy to slip into an bag and the coverage I’m looking for is good. I do see an issue with the auto open and close feature, it’s a little touchy. If you put a slight pressure on the button it will close the umbrella and you have to fully retract it and then re-open it. Also you have to use a bit of force to fully retract the umbrella (easier than the larger, wind resistant version though) and it will take 2 hands so you’ll have to put the coffee down to do it! Overall I do recommend this umbrella with the above issues noted, if that changes after my trip I’ll add an edit!
