GAMES WORKSHOP 99120109001 Warhammer 40,000 Deathwatch Kill Team Action Figure, 12 years to 99 years

I like the ability to customize my models. This has all the weapons options available for the Deathwatch Veteran model with most options available in both left and right-hand poses. Great detail on these models. If you opt to make switchable arms/weapons then you will likely need more of the Deathwatch shoulder pads for the left arm because there are only 5 in the kit.

Deathwatch Veterans are the backbone unit for Proteus Killteams in 9th Edition. This kit has a great amount of chapter specific right shoulder pads. This is probably the single most important kit for kitbashing Deathwatch as the right shoulder pads also fit primaris units as well and the kit comes with a lot. Perhaps the only downside to this kit is that the weapon options are fairly limited. The kit comes with enough Deathwatch Boltguns and Power Swords for all 5 models. One model can be converted to a Black Shield. The kit has no Lightning Claws, Astartes Chainswords, or Power Fists. For that you will need to look into purchasing the Vanguard Veterans kit (which is a kit that would pair well with this one for a Proteus Killteam). For more Combi-weapons than the 1 weapon in the box, I’d recommend getting the Sternguard Veterans box. Also the kit only comes with 2 Deathwatch Storm Shields (one right handed, one left handed). I would strongly recommend magnetizing the weapon options. It may be a pain to do but it will be worth it in the end.

This kit has an amazing array of bits. Way more weapon bits than it includes marines to hold them. Its a great kit to buy, and then buy some other kits, and distribute the weapons between them. As a Loyalist SM collector, just a great kit to have in your bits bin. Downside of this kit is that it always feels like you dont have enough of any one weapon option. Lots of great weapon options here, just not enough for the whole squad to be armed the same. Like comes with two storm shields, but its a squad of 5... Anyway, I love this kit. I bought two and am still finding new uses for bits from those sprues in new and even unrelated kitbash projects.

Received this kit quickly and for a great price. Games workshop miniatures are made with an overall better plastic. A more solid feel when compared to other manufactures. Makes it easier to assemble and paint.
