Greater than one weekI have always used an Apple Watch for running. I’m training for a marathon now and constantly got annoyed by the touch screen after my fingers would get sweaty, so wanted something geared more towards working out/running. When I bought it, I thought I’d only wear it to run but I have loved all the data that it provides so much that I’ve been wearing it almost all the time. You can view all daily metrics on it, however, I prefer to view the data on the phone app as I find that a little easier to see all at once. It can receive all of my phone notifications except for my texts because I have an iPhone and the watch is not compatible with iMessage. The gps has been so accurate while running, it is easy to stop/start, and has a strong vibrate when you stop/start or finish a mile. There are a variety of workout options available but I’ve only used it for running so far. The sleep tracking has been great and is so accurate. It gives you a daily body battery percentage based on stress, sleep, and activity level. The battery also lasts so long before it needs to be charged! It usually lasts about a week before needing to charge, depending on how many gps workouts I log. There are definitely still many other features that I have not tried yet but the things listed are what I use most/love the most about it!

Greater than one weekOrdered the first one and it would not work or hold a charge for longer than a day. Received the replacement and it was exactly the same. charge lasts about 24 hours and the watch failed to synch to bluetooth. I have had other Garmins and never had anything short of a great experience. this may just be a bad model or inferior products.

Greater than one weekI think the Fitbit has a far better app and is better when you are doing varied cardio sessions (my focus in the past few years was weight loss) but if you are a runner, then Garmin does the metrics better. They have a fantastic community that is based on invites so no creepy guys treating it like a dating site. This watch is more entry level for running but you can upgrade if you end up needing more capabilities. I like it because even though I use the GPS on all my trail runs and rides, I only have to charge it once a week (vs daily for FB). But if I do strength training, I have to track it as other as that is not a preloaded option for some silly reason.

17-04-2025I selected this Garmin because after having a bad experience with a more expensive one. I have used it daily since purchasing it and the watch face has not scratched or cracked like the expensive one did a month into my ownership. Although I would prefer the appearance of the expensive one, this one functions well and is durable for all my activities and adventures.
