> 24 hourThe 1030 and 1030+ is way to much for most riders. Therere less complicated units out there for most riders need. That being said, Garmin came a long way with 1030+! This is the best Garmin I ever owned and I own four of them. Installation with all my bikes Sram eTap and sensors, software upgrade and pairing with my iPhone was just so easy!

> 24 hourI have owned quite a few different Garmin products. The form, fit and function of this Edge 1030 Plus is amazing. With the addition of the silicone case, it is a great package that I would recommend to anyone with the money to spend on this high end unit. I already had the speed, cadence, and heart rate monitors, so the transition from the Edge 1030 to the Plus was almost seamless.

> 24 hourBought this for my wife for her birthday. She is a tri-athlete and AVID cyclist. She will be riding the Gap and C & O trails (Pittsburgh to Wash DC) in August so I thought it made sense to have a little technology onboard.

> 24 hourIve been using Garmin Edge cycling computers ever since 2014, and for the most part Ive liked them. Ive had the Edge 1000, Edge 1030, and now the Edge 1030 Plus. Unfortunately I couldnt get the Edge 1030 Plus to work with my iPhone 11 Pro. I tried pairing it again and again, and it didnt work until maybe 15 attempts. It finally did pair, but I was nervous that this would be an ongoing problem, so I unpaired it, and tried to pair it again. I was never able to pair it again, so I ended up returning it.

> 24 hourI am a long distance cyclist. I was able to link the Garmin Edge 1030 to my smart phone and download a course from ridewithgps. The Edge was easy to use for short rides and I was easily able to upload them to Strava. However, when I attempted a 400K ride this past Saturday with the external battery pack the unit ran out of power much earlier than expected (about 10 hours vs the expected 40 hours). Had to go into battery conserve mode, but unit eventually went dead. I suspect there could have been a problem tapping into the external battery. Both the Edge 1030 and external battery pack were fully charged prior to the 400K. Also, the unit can easily steer you in the wrong direction if the ride with gps course has overlapping sections. I found that out the hard way by going off course over the high bridge E of Ft Pierce FL.
