> 3 dayI bought this device with the intention of being able to remotely dim two table lamps on either side of my living room couch, but didnt realize only one outlet is ZigBee controlled, while the other is a straight-through always-on outlet. I wound up buying a similar device by Enbrighten that does state both outlets are ZigBee controlled and dimmable (albeit not independently). Something else to note is that this device (and my replacement by Enbrighten) are both rebranded JASCO units, who is also a name brand in this market.

> 3 dayUnit will randomly shut off the light, at which point it becomes unresponsive to Alexa. However, if you shut off the lamp, using the lamps own switch, and turn it back on, the light lights up and it remains responsive to Alexa until the next random time it decides to flake out. I will be buying a different brand next time.

> 3 dayI have a floor lamp with 5 arms and dimmable bulbs. After moving I could not find the dimmable remote I had been using so purchased this one. Two issues buyers should be aware of: 1 - It always flickers if set to 100%, but is fine at 95%, and there is no range adjustment as with some wall mounted units I have from another company. 2 - Setting it to low values, like 2% for use as a night light, doesnt work as it did with the dimmer I cannot find. 5% works reliably but is a bit brighter than I want so I found after leaving it set to 5% for a few minutes I can lower to 3% and get reasonable results. Setting directly to 3% for some reason does not work. As a retired electronics systems designer I know this is about design and component tolerances. Once I find the original switch I will swap this one out and use it elsewhere where the brightness issues are not a problem.

01-04-2025Really like these GE controllers and dimmers. They work really well and pair with my Smartthings Hub very easily.

> 3 dayThe install was simple and straightforward, linked right up to my SmartThings hub. However, the connected lights don’t turn off fully when the switch is off, they stay on at around 1% brightness though the app shows the switch is off, even if the physical button is pressed. Anything above 89% causes the lights to flicker then switch back to 1% brightness. Tried different lights and circuits with the same result. Obviously broken out of the box. Returned for a different model.

> 3 dayIt seems like this product needs some minimum power level to work. I tried to use it with LED Christmas tree lights, but it appeared to have trouble dimming them. I know that the LEDs can be dimmed because the IoT device I used last year, which I packed in a box we put mistakenly packed in a POD, worked just fine.

Greater than one weekThe unit works, and still does, connected to Home Assistant, but it mad) has developed a nasty feedback whistle. Im guessing bad capacitor. Unfortunately I let the return window go by so Im stuck with it unless GE will replace it for me. Im using it for a small year round Christmas tree with 25 incandescent bulbs, so its definitely not a load issue, and theres nothing plugged into the non-switched side. My kids are complaining about the sound so it has to go.

> 3 dayI do not have the patience. I use it as a manual dimmer. Or rather I did until a power surge seems to have taken that functionality away

Greater than one weekEasy to install. Works well. Good as an extender for Vera.
