This oil heater is a must if your generator is installed where the winter temps go to zero and below. It woks great and saves on starter replacement.

This Generac oil heater is recommended when temperatures stay below freezing. Here in NJ that happens frequently during the winter months. Looking forward to easy starting in the coming months!

It is a Generac part, came with the wiring harness, should have been a piece of cake to install, but where it would have plugged in was taken by other wiring that we didnt know what was for - it wasnt the battery heater mat wiring, we knew what that was. The killer was couldnt figure out how to release the wires in the terminal block - there must be some trick to it that we couldnt figure out. Ended up with a kludge - tapping into the mystery power wire to power this oil filter heater. Waiting for cold weather to see if it works as advertised.

part came quick instructons were great

the wiring harness that came in the so called kit is about 6 to 8 inches long not even close to where the harness has to go to plug into to make it work !! Had to go to a generator parts store to purchase another harness to make it work dont waste your money on this so called kit !!
