I wanted to take a chance with an offbrand and try to save some money, but we have a lot of allergies and some pets, so its really important to me to keep the dust out of the air and hair off the floor. These bags arent really big but they are reliable. They fit correctly (perfectly) every time and they come with new filters in every box. Theyre more pricey than Id like but I can trust they wont rip, tear, leak or fit poorly and thats what matters for me. I like that my vacuum is still working well and Id not like to burn it out with a substandard product.

Arrived earlier than expected and were exactly as pictured.

Meile vacuums are great. I think they do exactly what a vacuum is supposed to - they produce good suction, they are durable and they filter out allergens. But their bags seem to fill up way too fast. In the last few years the bags have gotten visibly smaller and seem utterly stuffed after a few passes around the house. A couple months ago I sucked up a little toy and decided to look for it in the bag. In doing this I realized that the bag seems designed to reduce internal volume - the walls of the bag are made of long, loose fibers that get pulled ino the bag and take up space. Im sure that the engineers at Meile have a plausible explanation for this (it reduces the density in the bag so the machine maintains efficiency...), but they probably sell a lot more bags this way. Bottom line - I have started to buy 3M bags instead. They cost 30-50% less and seem to be working just fine. The 3Ms are bigger than the Meiles and dont have any of the internal fiber nonsense so they take noticeably longer to fill. Between the lower price point and the less frequent bag changes, the 3Ms cost less than half of what you spend on Meile.

Yes, they are definitely expensive, but if youve bought a Miele vacuum, you already want and like quality products. These are the original styled dust bags and are very well made. Tried some of the knock-offs and theyre just not worth the few dollars you save. The connector on these bags is excellent and very easy to install. In fact, it pretty much self-installs once you close the lid. Theres also no mess or dust when changing the bag and it self closes the intake flap, so nothing will fall out of the opening. With the inclusion of the filters, you cant go wrong. Highly recommend.
