I have a Germ Guardian Model AC4825E, so I purchased this replacement filter for it. This filter fits my unit perfectly. It took about 15 seconds to install, and my unit turns on and off just fine without any problems. It is necessary to hold down the UV button for about 5 seconds to reset the flashing warning light to replace the filter. This replacement filter is performing well and seems to clean and deodorize the air just as well as the previous filter. Overall I’m very happy with this product and I will order more when I need them.

Last year, I threw away my Honeywell Air Genius 5. As much as I liked it, it was frustrating to maintain and it had a mind of its own. I trust Peer Guardian products. Ive had numerous humidifiers made by them so I bought the Germ Guardian AC 4825 to replace the Air Genius. Out of nowhere, about 6 months after buying it, it started flashing a red light to change the filter. Air Genius had a permanent filter. But dont fooled by the permanent filters, its one of the reasons I got away from the Air Genius, the filter wouldnt clean properly. So, I knew the Germ Guardian had to have replacement filters but I hadnt bought any. I bought one of the generic versions here from Amazon and its good but when I turn my purifier on, I love the fresh smell, its probably not even noticeable to most people. The generic replacement filter never gave me the fresh air smell but it was doing a good job on everything else and at the time it was eighteen dollars less than the name brand, about a sixty percent difference in price. I need that fresh smell. I have a puppy that stays in my office and hes a little guy and he stinks. He cant help it. I give him baths but I think its because hes so short, his belly hits the ground. Im picking on the puppy. He has hair that sheds and sucks up any moisture so he dont really stink but he has his own unique smell. The name brand filters help with that and give me a more fresh smell in my office. This upgraded version is a perfect fit and it comes with an attached carbon prefilter. It goes right in, no problems and it brought the fresh air back. Simple, easy, change and I caught these on what I assume was a sale for right at twenty dollars, so I bought 2 of them. They are usually around thirty. I also recommend this purifier even over the bigger version and the other brands. I run it on the medium speed from the time I walk into the office until I leave the office. Its like flipping a light switch on. The room its in is roughly 15 x 17 and it also keeps the air fresh in the 8 x 10 bathroom thats connected to the office. Not the funnest present to buy yourself but if youre like me, your nose and sinuses and stinky puppy will thank you!

I bought one of these a couple of years ago. It works! I have now added another one. Its giving me just as much help as its big sister. Same model.

We have COPD, asthma and wildfires to deal with here, without our air purifiers our quality of life would suffer greatly! I highly recommend, even if you DONT have respiratory issues!!

This product was easy to install in my air purifier. It definitely works to clean the air...just wish it wasnt so expensive!

Ease of use

Ease of use, installation is simple and fast. Viruses and/or bacteria dont have a chance with this filter. Pet hair, dander and other allergens are significantly reduced if not completely eradicated

Weve been using these air filters for several years, and after recently reading through reviews to order a new batch I became a bit skeptical. Luckily, my wife bought us an air quality monitor as we struggle with horrid air quality in Denver due to the fires in California. I live in a house with only a swamp cooler and no other ventilation. Every time the swamp cooler kicks on, our indoor air quality becomes unhealthy when it pulls in all that air. So now Ive closed up the windows and am running two Guardian air filters at once to test their effectiveness, and the results speak for themselves. Our air quality is back to good with particulate matter and VOCs, as my brain fog is lifting. Another trial-by-fire was we snuck one of these into my grandmother-in-laws house and closed the door to the guest bedroom. The infamous old person smell was gone within an hour or two, and the air simply felt lighter. Its rather remarkable.
