I use Venus but tried a different refill. It left me razor burned on first use

Im pretty sure these afne tactually made by Gillette. The packaging is cheap and dicey, and even tbe markings on the blades look suspect. Ive bought Venus razors and refills for years, and these look.really different. Im keeping them (coz Im completely out) but wont purchase again.

Ive had enough time to go through several in the package I purchased. I cant for sure say if these are real Venus razors or not, the little metal brackets on each side of the razor Ive never seen before on any Venus razor Ive purchased in store. So, Im not sure if these are real or if theyre just from another market. Regardless, those metal prongs I mentioned make shaving so difficult and for that I will not purchase these again. The prongs snag on hair so when Im shaving anything delicate it rips out hair when I go over the area, and that hurts and honestly makes me hesitant to shave. The razors themselves I think do the job theyre supposed to do, they do provide a close shave on my legs. But beyond that, I know these seem like a good deal but for me they werent, the hair-snagging prongs really deter me and I dont understand the purpose of them being there. Like I said Ive never seen them on any Venus razors Ive bought from an actual store like Walmart or rite aid. Ive been in the grocery store recently and looked and they didnt have these prongs either. It just makes me hesitant.

I so happy to try my Gillette Venus! Thanks Gillette for my razor I did get this product for free but these are my true opinions! The first thing I noticed was the close and clean in 1 stroke which we all look for in our razors. {When I used the razor it was defiantly true, It is very smooth.} On the back: 1. 3 blade smoothness 2. A indicator strip- the blue strip fades away when you are no longer getting the optimal shave { This is very appealing to me. I always wonder if my razor is done or if its just me! Since I just got the razor I will have to let you guys know a little later if it works!} 3. Lubrastrip with a touch of Aloe for glide {I love Aloe!} So I am loving this razor so far, then I go to open it... Now it is ALWAYS a pain to get these things open! BUT!! These guys have changed the game, to open it you just squeeze the sides and pull in a few spots it was so easy! No scissors or husbands required. Once I got it open I saw that I also received a replacement cartridge, and that you can use any replacement except the Venues Simple. It was super easy to snap the blade on and it looks exactly as I expected. {they didnt beef if up on the packaging} Performance: The grip stood out while I was wetting the razor, it fit in my hand perfectly as if they measured my hand and built the razor just for me. They were not kidding when they said smooth! The Venus, is incredibly smooth and it shaved with ease! I didnt even use shaving cream. When I got out of the shower my legs were so soft I couldnt believe it. This is the BEST razor I have used in a long time! I normally dont use razors with only 3 blades because the cut is just not as clean. I actually switched to mens razors for a more comfortable shave. After trying this I will be using Gillette Venus, I feel the aloe really helped with the after shave relief. I may try there other refills but the Venus is perfect soo I might just stick with it for a while! :)

The Gillette Venus 3 blade razors are amazing. The cartridges come individual wrapped for easy storage and transporting, and I would highly recommend this to any women wanting smooth, silky legs. I did receive some free samples from Gillette to try and to my surprise they worked better then I actually thought they would. I am a female with very course leg hairs, although I dont have a lot of hair on my legs the ones I do have tend to be course. I have always had to use mens razors in order to get a smooth finish and for them to last more then one or two shaves. Well the Venus is my new go to razor, I love the smooth, slickness I get from using them, and I have only had to use the one cartridge for almost a month now and the indicator strip on the top and bottom is starting to wearing. These strips lets me know its about time to replace the cartridge These things are great.

Very obviously not actual Gillette products. Low quality, cheap packaging. I ended up switching to the Amazon brand instead of rolling the dice on these again.
