If you sit these in drawer and use to hold sockets it will be OK. If you hang on wall to hold tools or sockets, you will be very disappointing. the magnets are weak and will not hold very well.

Its hard to give an accurate rating because I knew that these were cheap, light duty magnetic bars. I bought them for a few screwdrivers and some soldering tools. For those tools, these work fantastic. I wouldnt put anything over 1 pound and feel secure using these. These are not neodymium magnets. If you are thinking about using these for anything heavier than small precision tools, youll be disappointed. Again, I knew ahead of time that these were light duty rails. If I end up liking using magnetic strips, then Ill spend the cash for the good Master Magnetics rails for heavier garage tools.

Works well for screwdrivers and scissors. Doesnt hold hatchets and hammers as well. Definitely recommended.
