Gravity Falls: The Complete Series - Collectors Edition [DVD]

In this day and age where almost every series has become to formulaic and overstayed their welcome, here comes Alex Hirsh’s masterpiece about the summer adventures of the Pines twins Dipper And Mable! What sets it apart from the rest is the always evolving story, relatable, well written characters, and amazing animation and set pieces! Next to Steven Universe and Avatar the Last Airbender, Gravity Falls gets my highest recommendation!

Quite possibly the best cartoon series ever so its good to have something that isnt stored someplace in the digital netherworld where the powers-that-be can someday decide to get rid of it. Love the shift cipher encrypted messages at the end of the episodes.

This is the greatest show ever! It makes my kids happy and makes me happy! I think I’m more obsessed with it then my kids are and we all have watched the series 50 times! I cannot wait to own this!

i didnt get the 2 or 3 extra little goodies which was kinda sad i was really excited for them bc i absolutely love this show have since it came out, but i wasn’t worried enough to send it back i wanted to get into watching the show asap. all the discs play perfectly and the box set and cases are so cool, my favorite collectors set ever purchased!

A decent series, although I do feel as if the show is indeed rather Overated/Overhyped.... At least for me anyways. I will start on the points as to why I DO like it. The plot is pretty good and consistant, moments of character development and its like you can see the days passing at gravity falls too. Unlike other cartoons it does remeber its own previous episodes, which is actually rare and surprising for a cartoon. Not to mention the mystery of gravity falls itself and as someone who is rather obsessed with cryptozoology I do find all of the creatures in this series rather fascinating. I also enjoy the siblings chemistry together, seeing as I have a sister of my own but we werent that close to each other lol nor had like a grandpa that took me on like a cabin adventure. Supporting cast is ok, not THAT special if im being honest. If I wasnt 25 years old having a crush on that redhead would be ok, so I just pretend she is actually 18 and not 15. I never understood the age diffrence between Wendy and Dipper though, sure its 3 years apart but when he grows up he can totaly smash that. The colors are very impressive for this series, the animation is also top notch for a kids show I admit. Its clear that the creator of this series took a lot of time and effort to create a story that he had in mind. This guy even threw in secret messages in the episodes! Dont get me started on those special features boi. Being able to switch between 2.0 and 5.1 audio is nice, though why would you pick the clearly interior one? I have to say Im impressed by the episode commentary, there is one for ALL 40 EPISODES holly cow! Thats amazing! There is also a bunch of other special features. Overall this is great. What is keeping it from a 5 out of 5 show is that ultimately this is indeed a KIDS show... so I might be getting a bit to old for this at 25 years old. Still, I admit it is enjoyable but I do think people have blown this series like its the best thing ever, it ALMOST is. I would indeed recommend the blu-ray set
