Grout Pen White Tile Paint Marker: Waterproof Grout Paint, Tile Grout Colorant and Sealer Pens - White, Narrow 5mm Tip (7mL)

I ordered five of these pens (3 different orders). The first pen worked great to cover the stain on the grout between my bathroom tile. It restored the tile to a beautiful white color, making the shower look clean and crisp. It was pretty easy to use... most of the time. Some of the time, I had trouble getting the colorant to flow properly, making the task grind to a halt as I attempted over and over to get it flowing. There were at least 2 out of the 5 pens I ordered that I couldnt get to work. Since I was trying to sell the house, it was a real pain to have to stop working on it and order a new pen and wait for it to ship. Had all 5 pens worked, I wouldve been able to cover 2 shower stalls worth of tile in standard sized tub/shower combination bathrooms. I gave 4 stars because I loved the pens when they were working as they should. My advice: Order one or a few extra depending on the size of your job so it can be completed in a timely manner. The other option I tried was a paint on and wipe technique using grout colorant that you pour into a little container and literally use a tiny paint brush to apply the colorant. This technique also worked, but I found it more tedious than the grout pen.

To start let me say I like how my grout looks after using it. The problem is the tip: it got wasted so fast and the pen still has ink and I didn’t finish the area I was working on. I tried to twist the tip, and the other end looked good but when pressing it against the floor it would retreat to the inside of the pen, so it didn’t help. By doing this I got ink on my fingers, so I can confirm it is easy to clean if you get it on you. It might be good for touching up or really small jobs. To improve it I would probably include additional tips. Thanks?

In all seriousness, some reviews scared me because they acted like they used this pen on one strip of grout & it ran out. That is NOT true at all!!!! I am using these on my whole kitchen floor & they work so well and do not run out quickly. I think people pushed too hard at first and/or they didn’t try that hard to use it correctly, lol. They’re awesome & totally worth it!

I wasnt even finished touching up the relatively few areas of grout that had mildew stains in my small shower, and the tip became frayed and was impossible to get a precise application and even get more solution out of the tube. Update: After I submitted this review, the company contacted me right away, apologized, and wanted me to be happy with the purchase. The rep, Ashley, explained how to use the product to avoid the issues I had. If only I had known those instructions beforehand! She also refunded me the purchase price AND said shed send me replacement tips. What incredible customer service! I am changing my rating from 1 to 5 stars. I will definitely buy from this company again.

The felt tip of the marker fell apart when applying it to my grout between the tiles in my shower. Didn’t last more than 3 minutes before it started shredding. I wasn’t applying more pressure than normal as if I was using it as a writing utensil. Waste of money and effort.

Pretty good but tip get worn out fast

This little pen is great! I have an old tub and I rent so Im not able to redo the tub and tile. This pen renewed the old stained, mildew colored grossness that was my tub. Its not perfect, but now I can step into my shower without feeling like something is going to come alive and eat me( seriously, my tub was stained black from bad caulk and mildew. One downside of the pen, you do have to press the tip down to get the paint flowing every so often, especially when doing tile above your head. Definitely listen to the instructions and make sure the area is clean and dry or it wont stick to the grout as well. It is really easy to get off of tile if youre messy like me and cant stay in an straight line if your life depended on it. Im getting another one to do the kitchen grout too because some genius put white ceramic tiles in the main entrance to the house.

I love this stuff! It takes the hard work of scrubbing and bleaching your grout away and let’s you spend your day doing more enjoyable things. Who wants to spend hours trying to restore their grout to that pristine white that it once was? This will help to achieve that look without any of the elbow grease or the sweat or the toxic fumes. Just draw it in the crack and walk away!! Wow! Like new!!
