While the green plastic curved version is great for removing food between teeth, and especially in hard-to-reach interstices in the upper and lower back teeth, these are great for removing plaque. However, once the serrated points are used for back teeth, they begin to lose their firmness and straight shapes, thereby limiting their continued usage for more than one or possibly two additional applications. Given that there are far fewer of these in a pack than the green plastic ones, their costs can mount significantly.

Its like giving your gums a nice massage.

I always keep one handy to use every time after I eat. It feels like I brushed my teeth even when I don’t have a toothbrush and paste available. I like the feeling of getting food particles out that lodge between my gums. And I always use one before my night time teeth cleaning ritual that includes flossing and water pic etc. I’m sure they contribute greatly in the excellent dental exam results I’ve received in the last several years.

More important than simply brushing, this little device with soft bristles can get a lot of food from between your teeth even after brushing. I use it after brushing with the toothpaste to clean between my teeth. Since using, I can now go a year between cleaning and the dentist approves. Comes in different sizes, but the yellow one sold at Amazon is the best for most people.
