Extremely good iron. I use it at work every day and is very consistent heats up fast and very durable. I have had this iron for 2.5 years now. Worth every penny.

Best soldering iron Ive ever owned. Programming is not very intuitive. I was able to figure it out after spending some time with it. I understand why it is the way it is. It is made to be on a manufacturing line with all the necessary features, including user lockouts.

Use this to fix the apple earbuds, works great.

Excellent soldering station, heats up very quickly. I fly electric RC helis and this Hakko FX88D makes for quick work on EC5 connectors and 10 gauge wire. Very easy to use, just read the directions, I love the programmable preset temps. Hakko soldering tips are the best, there is a right one for every job and they are quick and easy to change, and most of them came in this kit that I got. The soldering pencil is just right for me, its an extension of my hand, high quality unit, should last me a long time and it has already had several good work projects under its belt. The extra soldering tips are worth their money, you get a good wide selection of them. The pencil holder has convenient wet sponge and brass tip cleaners, doesnt move around on you. User interface is very easy to use. There is just the power switch and two buttons, no muss no fuss approach. I am very happy with it and already know that wont change.

Just like many of the other reviews, I also love this iron. This well put together kit will have you prepared for most soldering and desoldering projects.

Confirming that this is a genuine. This package also came with a lot of accessories: extra soldering tips and cleaning wire. Be sure to read the instructions so that you know how to set the temperature correctly. Once set, the station heats up in a reasonable time (less than 30 seconds). The station which contains both the cleaning wire, sponge, and soldering iron holder makes it convenient to do quick jobs.

Ive had the manual version of this unit for many many years and my son needed a soldering station so I got him this model , these are very good and easy to use I got him the whole assortment of tips and you can do most anything within reason with this station you will not regret getting this unit good quality and simple to use and heat up fairly fast.
