My friend is a hardwood floor installer and she suggested I get one of these for my prefinished hardwood floors as those naturally have grooves between the slats. I was blown away at how much faster it was to just vacuum rather than dust mop. I also have a cowhide rug that doesnt take well to the powerful suction of a normal vacuum. This attachment has totally improved my cleaning ability for that rug! Highly suggest for real cowhide rugs.

Works perfectly on all my wood and tile floors. Front brushes have a opening so dust can be vacuum in. Its doing the job.

I like the horse hair and it suctions good

I initially purchased this to allow the use of my shop-vac on my hardwood floors. The attachment works great, although my plan was ill conceived. I envisioned sucking up dust bunnies and cat hair like a champ, which the attachment itself does well; however, my shop-vacs air discharge stirs up far more dust than I suck up. It is also worth mentioning that I tried using this to tackle the cat hair accumulated on my carpeted stairs. The attachment does well at pulling the pet hair from the stairs. It is, however, necessary to removed it every so often and suck the hair out of the bristles with the hose.

Perfect for wooden floors. 800 times better than the floor attachment Oreck sends. We have lots of wooden floors and lots of dog hair. This attachment really wipes the floors and allows most of the dog hairs to be vacuumed up. The Oreck requires stopping every few minutes to pull the hair off of the bristles and often then dry mopping to wipe the dust, but his attachment wipes the floors and only requires stopping every 10 minutes, or so to remove some dog hair. Even then, its only a very small amount that has not gone directly into the vacuum. Really makes cleaning better and faster!

The horse hair brissles are thick and strong yet soft on the hardwood floors. Be sure to measure to hose connection for a correct fit. I would buy this again.

Bought several of this model over many years -putting one in the camper, the rental, the cottage, the garage etc.. Anyone that uses mine buys one. They last forever. I just purchased another and had sent to my elderly mother. She loved how powerful, lightweight and long the wand was. It didnt require her bending or reaching ( 511). So inexpensive she ( and I) keep one on each floor of the house. Great for hw/ laminate floors tile, will work good enough on carpet too. Excellent detailing tool for corners ceilings, drawers, cabinets. Very light weight with great suction. They last forever easy to buy bags. Much better than a shop vac for cars, great for my sons dorm. So lightweight you can climb ladder, get in a boat. etc... I still have an upright for my modern shag, but most days I use the EMM on my bedroom low pile carpet just fine. Its great on long female hair too.

My own vacuum came with a floor brush, but synthetic black very short bristles that didn’t pick up a lot. I have three dogs, live on a dirt road and as you can imagine, lots of sand and dog hair. This brush will pick it all up really well without continuing to vacuum the same area several times. Buy it, you’ll love it!

I clean houses for a living & stopped using 2 vacuums many years ago (1 for carpets & 1 for floors). I have a decent Shark vacuum that is supposed to work for both, but Ive never been happy with any upright switching to bare floors. I wanted this attachment for that purpose, and it works like a charm. I use it on ceramic tile, laminate, and wood floors. Good suction, gets up kitchen crumbs, human & pet hair. I did need to buy an adapter for my particular vacuum, but this seems to be a standard size & will probably fit many vacuums out there. With the adapter, it fits perfectly on my vacuum.
