I have a water fountain and lights connected to the hub work great.

Exactly what I wanted. However I had to call as I had trouble setting it up. I followed directions and downloaded the app that the directions said, and I just couldnt get it to connect to Alexa. The guy I called said to install a different app. So I was a bit frustrated that they didnt have the proper directions and better directions with the device. But all is good and it works great. Its controlled by Alexa.

So far so good. The real test will be the Christmas lights in the freezing cold under snow.

I bought this because my short wife was having to use a ladder to plug and unplug our outside lights. Now its all controlled by her phone. And when she pulls up theres no getting out of her car into a dark driveway. She just opens the app and presses a button and our yard is lit up like Vegas. Installation was very easy. Ive started recommending this to everyone.

This is the second smart plug I received. It is hard to get hooked up I still don’t have it working with Alexa.

I bought this to control a small water fountain heater and a 500W halogen light for my chickens, whose coup is about 75 feet away from my house, where the electricity comes from! My extension cord has only one outlet at the end (as most do) and I needed a way to control both appliances - independently - with a single plug. This product DOES accomplish what I needed, but only after hours of painful setup. First, your wi-fi modem/router must support 2.4 GHz. Most routers support multiple bands/frequencies, but most people create only 1 wi-fi network in their homes. I had to literally go into my routers settings, and create 2 networks; wi-fi network 2.4 GHz and wi-fi network 5.0 GHz. Once I did this (over an hour!), I was able to connect to the plug via the HBN Smart app on my phone. I then spent another 2 hours resetting all of my wi-fi connected devices (5 Alexas, 2 Chromecasts, 2 thermostats, etc...) to the newly created networks! What fun! The HBN Smart app asks you what kind of device youre trying to connect! Are you kidding me? The app cant detect its own products? Anyway, finally got it working and the app allows you to control each of the 3 outlets/switches independently. Awesome! Unfortunately, this doesnt seem to be the case using Alexa to control the device via the HBN Smart Skill. As far as I can tell, Alexa can only turn the entire plug On or Off as a whole - not the individual outlets. I have the question below pending a response from the manufacturer - so Ill keep you posted. Question to HBN: I purchased HBN Outdoor Smart Plug, Wi-Fi Heavy Duty Outlet with 3 Independent Outlets, model U130T. The HBN Smart app allows you to control each of the 3 outlets separately, which is great! Unfortunately, when controlling with Amazon Alexa via the HBN Smart Skill, the ability to control the 3 outlets separately is no where to be found. It seems you can only control the power for the entire unit as a whole. Perhaps Im just not seeing how to accomplish this but, if its possible, can you please provide detailed instructions on how to do this? Thanks Kindly! Best Regards 1/24/2023 Update: As of approximately 1/1/2023, Alexa began recognizing the individual outlets (outlets named in the HBN app). Not sure how - not sure why - just suddenly started working so I upgraded my rating from 2 to 3 as I still endured the pain of reconfiguring my network.

The device is very well made. I can turn the lights on and off at the unit. However I was unable to get it to connect to its own app let alone Alexa. I am not a newby and I spent over an hour trying to get it to connect even though I tried one foot from my router.. So I simply use it as an outdoor on off switch.

This unit does not work in the application I needed. Therefore,I cannot rate its performance. It appeared to be well constructed.
