> 24 hour+ How small it is + How easy it is to setup + Works great so far. I have 3 screens at my desk Left Screen - dedicated to Laptops that I am connecting / disconnecting. I used a Dell thunderbolt dock so I have a single wire usb-C Connector for power and video etc. I connect this to laptops I need to use at the time. Middle Screen - really dedicated to Mac Studio. Always on this computer. Now... I needed a second screen once in a while so my 3rd screen on the right is the 2nd Screen to the Mac Studio. Right Screen (this was the pain point) - normal mode its the second display for MacStudio - connected on HDMI port most recently I got 3 more micro PCs for a small lab on my desk.. this made it a pain in the ass for me to have to connect/disconnect HDMI etc. I used this KVM to connect the Mac Studio and the 3 PCs. Now I can quickly use the Right screen by default as Mac Studio but if I need to look at one of the 3 PCs, I just press 1,2, or 3 and everything works great on the VIDEO! What do I do with the keyboard and mouse with approximately 10 computers I am using? Logitech Mini + Anywhere 3. I also use 2 Bolt connectors. First Pairing - to the Bolt connected on the Dell Dock - this means I never have to pair the laptops to the keyboard/moise Second Pairing - Bluetooth to Mac Studio so this computer is always on. Third Paring - Bolt connector on the KVM!!!! So now I can hit 1, 2 ,3 on the keyboard as I switch to control left screen, middle screen, or right screen. The right screen.... it changes which PC I am controlling as I hit the KVM 1,2,3. I have basically a nested install of Keyboard/Mouse. and with the KVM its nested one level deeper on the 3 computers behind the KVM. For days I was messing around with the HDMI cables, usb dongles on the PCs but no more!

> 24 hourThis item had everything I needed and if it worked as intended 100% of the time it would be absolutely fantastic. However, I’ve tried two different units and both units. Something often seems to not work well: most of the time it was the USB portion not correctly hooking up. Sometimes the DVI display would just go out. I would put it at about 70% reliability (which is just not acceptable as far as electronics go). I wish it worked better, then it would be absolutely five stars! However, honestly for the price I am keeping it around, I can kind of deal with it.

> 24 hour*Customer service update* Customer service stands by their product and I have to respect that. If you do happen to be one of the few who this does not work for, as I have said before, you cant beat this product for the price and the reviews on other more expensive KVMs seem to be worse or the same at best. If you are looking at these at the price point, it is what it is but its nice that the company will support and take responsibility for their product even if it is somewhat less reliable than Id like. *Update* The audio issue is now happening every minute or so, which is up in frequency. The switch also seems to not want to communicate that my peripherals are connected when switching the next day so everything has to be unplugged and plugged back in. Im not sure if I got a defective one or not but this isnt rocket science and I shouldnt have to jump through these hoops to figure out whether its the unit, a port on it, or the wires. At the end of the day it doesnt matter because a part of it is defective as all these components worked without the KVM without issue. Am returning this and do not recommend you get it. I will start by saying that for the price this cannot be beat in terms of functionality. It does everything as advertised. I have 2 PCs and 1 laptop connected to a Bolt receiver, keyboard, and Usb Microphone. They work for the most part. The remote function is nice since I can hide away the switch itself. I wonder how much the extra 5v power will help in most scenarios as Ive not noticed a difference unpowered or powered. I would guess that you could technically put a hub on the unit itself and the power could feed those extra devices. I havent notice any large amount of latency as I mostly use this for work and my gaming mouse is plugged directly to the PC. No keyboard lag noticed. Now here are some caveats. 1. The hdmi usb cables are absurdly short on the USB end which, for laptop users, will be a headache. This can be fixed by buying another using hub to get it to connect since most laptops now do not have USB on the rear near the HDMI port. 2. Most of these cheap KVMs suffer from USB noise if you use USB microphones and monitor through the mic. This one in particular cuts the mic out and blasts ear damaging static white noise every so often that can only be fixed by unplugging and plugging the device back in. 3. Sometimes my devices dont switch over. None of them. The display does but none of the peripherals. They get power just no communication. Ive had this happen once the 2 weeks Ive had it. Had to again unplug all peripherals and monitors to fix it. This doesnt give me confidence on the convenience of use or durability thus far. 4.Customer service is interesting. There seems to be a trend of these overseas companies reaching out first to ask if the product is alright. Seemingly to win reviews before issues are reported. My back and forth with this company has been less than stellar as they shot me through the usual troubleshooting hoops and proceeded to assume compatibility issues on my end. People, USB stands for Universal Serial Bus. Whether its USB 1, 2 or 3 they are all backward compatible with differences in speed. Compatibility cannot be an issue unless you simply do not have drivers for what you are using. The only compatibility issue that arises is in the hardware, and especially if they worked before the kvm switch. It was ludicrous of them to have me switch to different ports on this thing as that still means that I have a product with either defective ports or an incompatible product. Do I recommend this product? If you dont want to spend at least double this is okay for the price and you are do it yourselfer, but even those more expensive products seem to have questionable reviews. If you have the money and dont want to waste time fiddling around or figuring out work around go with something else with better reviews and less problems.

> 24 hourI was excited to find a 4x1 KVM for this price point. Should have known better. It doesnt work. The USB inputs (Keyboard and Mouse) do not get passed to the client machines. Whatever hub driver they are using, Windows doesnt like. Returning.

> 24 hourI use this to share a monitor between a Linux machine and two windows machines. It works well, but shoves everything onto the machines second monitor (if you have one) when you switch away, and it takes a couple of seconds to rearrange the windows when switching back. In addition to keyboard/mouse and video, HDMI sound and my 3DConnexion 3D mouse all switch perfectly.. Only complaint is that waking from sleep using the keyboard only seems to work on the last computer you put to sleep; the others need to be awakened with the power switch on the computer.

> 24 hourThis works just fine, Im using it on Windows and Linux, no issues. USB wireless dongle is in the device, and the cables pass through the KM just fine. I do want to note a couple of things. One, there is no hotkey switching, so the devices buttons or the little remote are your two options. I think the little remote is awesome, because everything is now tucked away out of sight and the remote is mounted to my monitor stand, where it is very inconspicuous. 2, An HDMI extension is possible, but only on the source side of the cable, so if you need a longer cable than provided, youll need that HDMI extension, as well as a USB-A extension cable. Further, the USB and HDMI separation actually works fine for me, but if your usb input is farther than 8 inches from your hdmi output on your source machine, youll need a usb extension. Im using this on two very SFF boxes, so it is just fine for my application. Ill report back here if I find any failures, but so far its working as I needed and for a great price. edit: I cannot figure out how to extend the distance to the target machine. Ive purchased an HDMI extension cable, doesnt work. I purchased a USB extension cable, doesnt work. It looks like an Active HDMI cable, because its got an integrated USB A pass through, via a pigtail. But it seems its proprietary and thats it. So, it works fine... but I want longer cables and I cant get that.
