I use a lot of aircraft cable in Theater rigging. This is excellent cable, standard construction, not just some weird wire. This will fit 1/8 inch Nicopress sleeves which is my preferred method of fastening. Cable clamps would also work. I do not usually use Stainless, but this would be good for outdoor rigging or sailboat rigging.

This 1/8-inch cable is tightly wound so that it doesnt unravel much at all when I cut it--a real plus when youre swaging fittings and the ferrule tolerances are tight. A very good option for internal or external uses.

Kudos to the delivery driver. This box, while small, felt like it had lead bricks in it. Thank you Amazon guy! I bought this for a specific purpose. I put up an antenna mast outside of a small workshop I recently built. It’s not like a 600-foot FM radio tower or anything. Just a 20-foot mast that I didn’t want to attach to the side of the building. I needed to run some guy-wires to keep it secure. I love that this spool come with cable cutters. I thought for sure they’d try to skimp on those but they were actually a pretty heavy-duty and durable pair of cutters. The wire rope is a good thickness to work with. Not too thick and stiff so that it’s easy to manipulate, but not so thin that I worry about it failing under load from wind or something. For my needs, it was just the right diameter. It was fairly easy to cut, no worse than other wire rope I’ve used. It went around a thimble nicely and was able to be crimped with the existing sleeves and crimp tool I had. I used some turnbuckles to ensure good tension. So far so good. I can’t speak to longevity while exposed to the elements but if this cable fails sooner than I expect it to, I will update my review.

Feels hefty! Used for a cable railing project and it worked the way it should. Project came out great. Swages held onto this cable no problem. No bends or kinks, just pure cable.

Will use for my deck railing and appears to be solid quality for fit purpose job.

Review is for the 328 roll. Quality is better that any other SS wire I have ever used, with the finish on it being exceptionally smooth. I am using this to create deck railing cables around a raised outdoor tiki hut. I am also using this manufacturer’s cable railing hardware kit (ASIN # B09V448CKC). After cutting through this, it is in fact as advertised (7 sets of 7 strands/set). The advertised diameter is correct and it fits into my railing hardware as it should. Using a cable wire cutter I had no trouble cutting through this cleanly. The ends were in no hurry to unravel either, which makes installing this much easier. For those intending to un-spool off a rack mount, the spool hole diameter is 15/16. Spool width is 3.75. Too soon to comment on longevity, but so far my expectations are high.

This type of stainless steel cable is great for DYI decking and stairway railing. It is strong and pretty impervious to most weather. The cable is smooth--no jagged edges and relatively easy to work with considering it is steel. To get the most out of this, I think it would be helpful to have the proper fittings and tools to put proper ends on the cut cable and to stretch it tightly.

Great size roll of stainless steel wire cable. Can use for a variety of purposes from hanging lights to tying up trees straight. Nice and heavy duty. A good value for the price. Would buy again.

I know this is not winch wire, but it is a suitable substitute for chain when you need winding ability. I replaced the strap on a hand crank boat winch with this that I attached to my 4-wheeler and was able to tow some 14-20 diameter, 6-8 long logs a few hundred yards through my property. THEN, I was able to hoist said logs with another hand crank winch onto a mill sled. I also used the same wire to make a long lead for a come-along to help fell the trees. Its not listed what the breaking strength is, but it is a great wire to add some length to things without using heavy chain
