Hitachi 6696572 Recoil Starter Body Assembly

The item did not match the starter for the Hitachi. This was a generic assembly and was not compatible.

Does not have the piece needed to engage the engine when you pull the cord.

Represented it to fit the model we own but it doesnt and making us pay postage to ship back for a refund.

Works great on my Tanka.

Tried it out but did not work ,gave all info on my machine this bolted on but did not work !

The 2 star is for the product description. The product appeared to be fine and sturdy, but says it will fit my blower, but never caught the starter.

Did not work upon delivery

Used my original starter recoil assembly over 6 years before it the string snapped. This replacement assembly literally snapped after 10 pulls. Very chintzy string. Picture attached.

This recoil assembly didnt fit my Hitachi leaf blower by itself but I ordered the compatible pulley for it. Swapped pulleys on the leaf blower and it installed quickly. Works great and seems to be a better setup all around than the other.
