I used this to clean the inside of my smoothie cup drinking straws as well as regular straws that I re-use. Soap and water alone dont get the smelly, manky bits out of the straws - this does. It is metal and has a perfect sized brush at the end. The other end has a little metal circle, this ensures that the brush doesnt get stuck in the straw. The length is about half that of a straw but I dont find that to be a problem. I take the brush and use it on both ends of the straws. It comes in a nice sized set. I have one at home, one at work and I have given one to my niece in a birthday card (in addition to another gift). These are great small gifts for friends and stocking stuffers for the smoothie drinkers in your family. Cant find them in any store but I found them on here. Thanks

I clean straws from my protein smoothies that include chia seeds. I want to make sure that the straws are cleaned well after use. The cleaning brushes do the trick. They are sturdy, long enough to clean a long straw a bit over halfway, then I flip it for the other half. They clean easily by hand and dry in an hour in our dish drainer. They’re a bargain too!

These are some nice brushes. Perfect for cleaning the larger straws that come with the large drink containers. They will even work for the smaller diameter disposable straws as long as you are careful and dont try to force it through them. One reviewer commented that they are too short then complained that the handles are too week. Yes, the handles are a little short but the longer they are the more likely they will bend. You just need to be careful with them and dont try to force them into straws or anything else that is too small for them. They also work pretty good for cleaning the barrel of my 9mm pistol. They should also work for cleaning a .38 cal, a .357 mag, a .380 cal, and a .32 cal. Overall these are nice soft little brushes for light cleaning of drinking straws as well as many other similar things. I no problem recommending these to anyone for this use.

I use these for the skinny green part to the Dr browns bottles. Works perfect.

These are nicely made, slightly sturdier than a large pipe cleaner. The stems look like they may be stainless and the brushes are soft and pliable. The end is finished/ dipped with what looks like silicone to make a cap, so no sharp edges. They work fine for cleaning my reusable drinking straws. I also plan to use them for cleaning an electric coffee percolator which is on the way. I think these will last for awhile, but may need to be replaced periodically. I like them better than the DrinkWell brush which I had before. The bristles were stiffer and they all eventually broke off after about 8 or 9 months use. I think the Hiware brushes should probably last longer.

I needed straw cleaner for our wine milkshake glasses. Works great. Didnt need this many but I will have them on hand. Sure I can find more uses for them for small places.

I only have straight straws, but these are better than the brushes that came with the set of straws! These brushes are VERY sturdy, and even though they are not the length of my straws, I dont mind having to clean from both sides. These brushes work so well for my straws, that I am also going to use them for some of the cleaning of my aquarium. Im sure theyll do fantastic there, too!

All around good product just not long enough for my longer straws.
