18-04-2025Its a simple printer and thats all I wanted for home use. Besides I dont like black, and everything nowadays is black, black, black! The only thing I didnt care for is shopping online. However, it was the only way I could get the printer. Online shopping makes me nervous. I prefer looking online and calling on the phone and talking to someone.

> 3 dayI bought this HP Deskjet D1530 printer when I got my laptop in 2010 from Best Buy and had Windows 7 at the time. Ive not replaced laptop but did update to Windows 10 several yrs ago and the printer works fine with it. However lately, its not printing headers like if I want to copy/paste to WORD, so looking for another and was reading the reviews here and thought Id add my own on this printer.

> 3 dayI bought this printer from Salvation Army for $4 + the ink coast me $35. My point is this printer works great and fast. And its fast when plugged to PC nothing need like, software just plug the USB and enjoy the colour.

> 3 dayIn the past, any printer that I purchased was easy to connect to my computer. Just plug it in, device was recognized and ready to print. Had to send this one back as I couldnt get it to connect to my computer. Tech support was not able to help me without charging me for service.

> 3 dayI purchased this printer 2 years ago. I needed a cheap printer as a backup to my more expensive one. In the mean time I have gone through a Lexmark, Canon, and an Epson as my main printer. This one has ended up having to do the bulk of the printing work, and it has never failed me. It always seems like a roll of the dice with printer brands: I have had a really good Lexmark and a bunch of junky ones; a really good Canon and a lemon; and in all these printer reviews it seems like half the people hate the printer and half the people love it. All I can say is this is my first HP, and it has run like a champion. Even though the print quality is not good enough for detailed photos I still gave it 5 stars cause its not labelled a photo printer. It does what it was made to do very well.

> 3 dayThis printer came packaged with our HP Computer purchased in 2009. The computer has exceeded all expectations, so nothing personal HP, but this printer is terrible. It has been an ink hog since weve had it. Coincidence that weve spent more on ink in 3 years with minimal printing (best guess 10 pages per month average) than the value of the printer? You tell me, but in my mind it has scam written all over it. They give you a free printer so you purchase their ink. Also, it is now streaking - again, this printer has had bare minimal use over its lifetime - and multiple cleanings are not fixing the problem. Time to start looking for a new one I guess. I will not be looking at HPs. If you were my friend, I would tell you not only not to buy this thing, but if someone offers you one for free, say NO THANKS!

> 3 dayThis printer doesnt have any bell or whistles, but does its job well. I needed a small printer for my computer hutch and it fit the bill.
