> 24 hourValve confirmed that this base station is dead. We have an Index and it gave us a warning that it wasn’t functioning. They used the serial number and found it broken. THIS IS RIDICULOUS: WITHIN 74 DAYS! It’s been on a pole anchored to the wall the entire time. No damage on our part, just randomly died. Our other two base stations have lasted since October of last year.

> 24 hourWell, you get a tracker... Thats it, no base stand nor the original charge cable. Just a short charge cable. Feeling kind of ripped off with the base stand not being included.

> 24 hourI brought one from Dell, base station 2.0, it works immediately with pimax 8kx. This one no, it took me so much effort to make it work only once, then never work again. This one from amazon said it was assembled in US. I suspect it has out of dated firmwares, but without vive VR, you could not even update by yourself. I bought another one from Dell, now it works out of box again. Wasted me 200 dollars, Amazon!

> 24 hourHavent been able to use the one I got yet because they are not compatible with the first generation base stations. Dont expect to buy only one and have it work with the old ones you already have. Buy two.

> 24 hourWorks with valve index as intended. Excellent quality and I dont know what people are saying about these base stations making whining noises, this was quiet as could be.

> 24 hourLike other reviews have stated there is no mount. You will have to buy a stand or mount separate. The cord is also a lot shorter (maybe about 5 feet) than the one that came with my Steam VR set. So plan accordingly. It is steamVR compatible. If this is your 3rd+ base station when you first start steamVR you may get notified that you need to change the channels on the base stations. The steamVR popup window will guide you through this process. If they add the mount and increase the length of the cord. I will raise it to 5 stars. This base station is $50 more than it is on the steam store (but at least it is available). edit: I had a mechanical failure under a year. HOWEVER vive replaced it for free and even has a recycling program for the old broken one. Because of this I am raising it to 5 stars for the time being (I will lower it back to 4 if this one dies under a year as well).
