Been using this for a couple months now. It works great. I take mine out of the tank between cleanings. The blade does an awesome job cleaning the glass. When you’re setting it up, be sure to make sure the blade is slid down and riding flush along the glass surface.

Holy cow... this thing is super-strong magnetically. However, the strength is its downfall. Its extremely difficult to use. Even then, it takes quite a number of passes to remove the haze from the inside of the tank. Thats puzzling. I may try using the plastic scraper, but theres no way I would take a chance with the razor. Not only could it scratch, but it could also damage the silicone seams/joints. Ill give it 4 stars, but it really should be 3.

This is so much easier than using a wand scraper. With a wand, its so hard to get into the lower areas at the correct angle to scrape those tough, hardened algae spots. I had all the spots scraped off of my 150 gallon tank in 10 minutes, and I didnt have to get up on a step stool or get wet. I dont know why I waited so long to buy one.

Very strong magnet, and attractive, too! Nice packaging, shows quality and safety before you install it. Watch your fingers if holding the two pieces near to each other. Even the instructions mentioned this, and if you’re not careful it could pinch you, trust me! Once installed easy to move around the glass and corners. I got the bigger size for my 75 gallon due to the thicker glass. Love the razor blade, no more slippery gloves fingers trying to scrape with a naked blade!

Don’t spend to much money on a flipper get this product it’s even better

Boxed very well, great instructions, and burable quality. Very strong magnet, works very well to remove calcium build up on your tank from water evaporation! Very few swipes and it just takes everything off! Very impressed.

Does not clean the surface on the glass without “scrubbing” whereas previous ones worked on one pass. Expensive to not work as expected.

This is quite an effective algae scraper that is attractive to boot. I liked that it came with both a steel and a plastic blade so that I could use it in both glass and acrylic tanks. I have only tested it on my 36 long, low iron, 24 gallon planted tank so far but it works quite well. Excellent for getting that hard green algae off the glass. I keep high lighting on the tank to help the baby tears grow and algae is ever present. Im very pleased with this product. Im posting a before and after shot of the green algae removal.
