My granddaughter is 2 and quicker than a blink. I use these locks on every door except her room. It keeps her from being sneaky (shes really good at hide and seek) and from catastrophe. Extremely easy to use and child proof for her and not the rest of the household! Definitely recommend!!

I used this product, the Improved Childproof Door Lever Lock to prevent my wife who has Alzheimers disease from walking out the front door and into/across the relatively busy street we live on and then wondering down the street and which began happening daily. I am home with her every day, but her constant walking out the front door went from never to an easy six to eight times a day, maybe more and I simply could not let it go on. This Childproof Door Lever Lock works, my wife cannot figure it out. She does not like it, but it beats the alternative of her possibly getting hit by a car and also saves the possible traumatic experience of the car driver that hit her. If you are having trouble with your Alzheimers spouse from leaving your home, I can tell you it works and has prevented my wife from leaving and wondering off for over a month now and though I get a few tantrums from her because it is installed on our door it is well worth it to me. Eliminates lots of worry and frustration. I found it very easy to install, the adhesion works great, my wife has not been able to tear it off and not for a lack of effort and for me it is easy enough to open. A little inconvenient, but she cannot figure it out which is why I bought it, and as they say, you do what you need to do.

Installed these on three critical doors and now we have peace of mind until she figures out the system. Our granddaughter is a handful. They work as advertised, just dont know what the door will look like after removing them.

This was used at the grandparents house while visiting for a week. Adhesion: I misplaced it initially and was able to quickly pull it up again (no paint came off the door) and re-stuck it. In those first few minute after sticking it was easy to remove, but without a few hours/a day it was fast stuck. I used these to keep my older child from opening the bathroom door (I kept it on the outside of the bathroom door), to stop children from getting inside (infants/toddlers are top heavy and can drown in toilet bowl - true story). I also kept one upstairs in the room my family and I were staying in so that when I put the kids down to sleep I could lock it from the outside knowing no one could fall down the stairs if they opened the door. Children can’t lock it from the outside... but... one morning as I was cleaning the room and my husband took the kids down he automatically locked the lock and I was stuck. Big house, so no one could hear my knocking. Thankfully I remembered I could use my phone and I was rescued, but that was a little stressful. So if you have older kids who can accidentally lock you in then this might not be the right fit. Otherwise no complaints and it did its job perfectly.

It really works good if your door don’t have the shine kinda paint. Mine keeps falling off.
