> 24 hourSuper sticky black tape. Need a blade to cut it. Pain in the behind if need to remove it. Stops the water.

> 24 hourI recently replaced a redwood deck with a Brazilian hard wood. I noticed joist decay was primarily due to moisture in the gaps between the deck boards. After replaced and repair the joists, I applied this product. I am confident this will extend the life of the joists and deck board. Easily applied and great adhesion.

> 24 hourVery easy to use + strong adhesive = great for a DIY’er. Highly recommend it, my father has to redo his deck after 15 years and will use this product on his deck as well.

> 24 hourThis was easy to apply. We put it on all of ours joists for a 26 foot long deck. Time I’ll tell if it helps the wood hold up. I only wish it was a little stickier.

> 24 hourThis tape was exactly what I needed in resurfacing a deck. The taper here is extremely well and has a very good quality. My only minor criticism is that I put the tape on when it was above 80° and the tape was extremely gooey and soft and a little difficult to work. And in the cooler weather there were no problems whatsoever.

> 24 hourI recently installed about 800 feet of this on a very large deck we are having built in Florida. The previous all wood deck had rotted. Were replacing that deck with 25-year Trex and using ground contact lumber for the joists and framing. The previous frame had rotted from the top down, primarily associated with screw penetration used to attach the wooden decking. I wanted to give this deck as long a life as possible. Since its brand new, I dont really know if the joist tape will work for its intended purpose (sealing screw penetrations), so my rating is based on quality of product, ease of application, durability during the construction process, comments from our deck contractor, and cost compared to its main competitor sold by Trex. Its easy to apply, albeit youll sometimes get a bit of butyl on your hands. Just remove a bit of the protective film from one end and leave the tag end sticking out to the side, stick that end to a joist, line up and lay about 3-4 feet of tape on the joist, hold that end down with your thumb, reach back to the film and pull it down to your thumb and stick it, smooth the tape with your hand, and repeat. The contractors said it actually made laying the deck faster because the decking tended to stay in place as they were laying it, the plastic facing grabbed the hidden plastic fastener so it didnt move, and once installed, the black plastic fastener was hard to see against the black facing. The tape also held up remarkably well to being walked on and having boards dragged over it, though I did have to make a few repairs. Because of delays in getting our full order of Trex decking, the tape on part of the deck has been sitting exposed to rain and sun for several weeks and still looks great. Its about 30% less expensive than the competing brand, but I didnt use the competitor, so I cant compare quality. Also, the customer service was great. I underestimated the amount needed and the company owner made sure I received my reorder on time and at no additional cost.

> 24 hourAs advertised. Great adhesion, just make sure your joists are dry and clean and this stuff will not come up. The butyl can settle to one side so the end of the roll gets a little messy but not bad. It would be nice if it was 1-3/4” or more but that’s today’s lumber not the tapes fault. It started raining before I finished but you can see the water bead up and run off
