Greater than one weekI am a fairly athletic 60 year old and I actually bought this set AFTER first buying the smaller 3 disc Beginners set. I was so pleased with the control and flight of the beginner set that I ordered this slightly more advanced set. The beginner set has 3 discs that average 149 grams in weight and are especially good for smaller, less athletic players although more athletic players will also get great control and distance. This set of 5 discs average 20 grams heavier at 169 grams and offer more flexibility but require more speed/strength to take advantage of their properties. By having both sets I actually have even greater flexibility for a variety of close in and long range courses. Innova is a great product.

> 3 dayBought this as a starter set for disc golf. Great value. The only downside is the plastic type. If you are prone to hitting trees or play a lot of wooded courses, I would recommend getting champion plastic discs. These discs all get gashed.

> 3 dayThey’re nice discs but as a beginner they weren’t very forgiving

> 3 dayThis is a good beginner set in that you get 5 discs for $50 which is pretty good if youre not sure youll love the game. However, I found that the discs they include are not necessarily beginner friendly in the way that they throw. The Destroyer is a very high speed (12) for a beginner with low arm speed and is way too overstable to be useful for a new player (i.e. it will not go far and will go aggressively to the left for a RHBH throw). The Teebird is better (easier to throw at speed 7) but I found it to also be a bit overstable for me and it throws so similarly to the Leopard (for me) that I never use it unless Im in a tricky spot and I need a stupid overstable disc. In my mind, they should get rid of the Destroyer and the Teebird and include the Archangel (and lower the price to $40). I bought the archangel separately and the understability really seems to benefit my beginner (lack of) accuracy (it doesnt go aggressively left for me) and is a slower speed than a destroyer (Archangel is speed 8) so youll be able to use more of its potential as a beginner and consequently throw further. The Leopard is great once it breaks it and flies mostly straight. Same with the Roc3. The Aviar putter is a putter... In my mind, a better beginner set would be the Avair putter, Roc3 mid-range, Leopard fairway driver, and Archangel distance driver. (Leave out the mini - its just unnecessary) for $35 or $40, throw in a cheap bag for $10 extra. The DX plastic keeps the cost down which is nice but its Innovas least durable plastic. This means it breaks in quick (probably 5 or 10 rounds depending on how many trees you plow into at full speed) but you might end up with some excessive damage if the wind takes you away and you dive into some concrete. At the end of the day, you got what you paid for on the plastic.

> 3 dayOne happy camper with this set. The speed of the disks was great. All back hand except one had a high speed rating I could only achieve with forehand (destroyer 12 speed) Fell in love with the tee bird and leopard Reasonable quality plastic choice for those just starting out like myself (I would hate to lose a $20 disk to the drink or trees)

> 3 dayBuy this set! You can spend hours researching the best discs for beginners and 30 bucks on 2 discs, and possibly end up with the wrong discs. OR you can get this 5 disc starter set and be throwing tomorrow! If youre a beginner, start with the Leopard and the ROC. Leave the Destroyer at home until you get the hang of the other discs. Hint: as soon as you open them, write your phone number on the back with a permanent marker.

> 3 dayI know it says the colors may vary... but I had assumed I would be getting different colors at least. All of my discs were purple or light orange which was rather disappointing

> 3 dayThese discs are solid beginners discs. I’ve been throwing them for a few weeks and they’ve been pretty consistent. I honestly don’t see a reason to abandon these as I’m getting better
