So I wired my first boat stereo and amp with non-tinned wire. Dont do it! You will have corrosion issues eventually, usually in about 2 to three years... This wire is perfect, well protected, very flexible and manufactured to withstand the elements. Hey cheap out if you need to, but if its your boat, do it right!

It is great speaker wire. It takes solder really quick and well. I tinned the strands with rosin core solder and rosin paste flux before I connected it to my speaker terminals and it is easy to work with. I had to argue with it to get it to flatten out, that is because it is wound on the spool too tight. Another problem, it does seem to be about 8 or 9 feet short on the spool.

the package is totally damaged when arrival. see pictures. and its not tinted!!!! plus thete is $8.9 shipping fee! now, I have to pause my process to look for real tinted wires!

Casing is very thick and adhered well to the wire within, confident this will stand up to saltwater marine environment.
