Intel Core i5-9600K Desktop Processor 6 Cores up to 4.6 GHz Turbo unlocked LGA1151 300 Series 95W

Great CPU. Excellent single core performance for gaming. With a Castle 240 cooler, I see 35C at idle and 55C at 100% CPU; it should overclock really well. But why bother when I my son gets 150fps playing Fortnite at max settings? We have it paired with a 1070ti.

Quite a powerhouse, got my chip to 5GHZ stable , although would definitely recommend using a 1440p display or above because its clearly pushed to its limits at high refresh rate 1080p

Intel vs AMD. Many people say AMD is better because it outperforms Intel these days. But I am still an intel loyal customer and I have great confidence on Intel Product than AMD. This is my first gaming PC that i built and the 9600k has been performing really great. I havent even see any need to do overclocking yet because it handles all my games with just the base speed of the cpu

This is the top-end Coffee Lake i5, I believe. Works great for my purposes, although I have not tried overclocking it. With my (suspectedly sub-standard) cooling, I can get sustained all-core turbo boost of 4.3 GHz, which is below the advertised maximum but I have it in a very cramped mini-ITX case.
