This time, I wanted the ability to overclock and so far this CPU is exceeding my expectation. I have it running at its “boost clock” constantly on a very modest air cooler (Thermaltake gravity i2) and it’s running cool. No problems with thermal throttling whatsoever as long as I keep my room cool and case ventilated. This outperforms my 4770 to a surprising degree.
