Its not like I was looking for a leather punching tool. I already my fathers vintage leather punching tool like was sold in leather craft magazines and hadnt thought about upgrading until I saw this tool. First, I notice the angled cutters on each of the punches. Then I notice the ram effect for compound leverage. There is a throat depth adjustment of up to 20mm and a spring-loaded return-to-open handle. The largest hole size it will punch is 4.5mm. I dug out my old leather belt that is 3-4mm thick and punched a few holes. The prong of the buckle is too large to fit in that 4.5mm hole, so I punched another hole next to it to elongate the size of the hole and those 2 holes together allowed the prong to slide through the belt strap. Other belts had prongs small enough to easily fit a 4.5mm hole. The smallest hole size is 2.0mm, which I would explore for stitching holes. An adjustable anvil at the bottom of the stroke is rotated to accommodate each hole / punch size. It is adjusted with the hex key which is stored in the handle.

Its made from high-quality materials and is incredibly easy to use. It punches clean holes with no jagged edges - something that’s especially important for leather projects. It also comes with different sized hole punchers so you can customize your projects to your exact needs.

Nice and heavy duty compared to my last pair I had. Good locking mechanism, would recommend.

This is a nice hole punch tool. I tested it on cardboard and leather and it left clean holes in both cases. The only thing Id ding it for is that it came with no instructions so it was a bit trial and error to figure out

Makes very nice holes of several different sizes.

Took a minute to figure out how to change the punch head. But once that was done everything was a breeze from there. Not your old dads leather punch where you need pounds of pressure. Nice hard squeeze and the extra hole was in the belt. Six different hole sizes to make it easy to punch any size hole you need. Feels good in the hands. Seems petty four stars due to no instructions. Think for people that have never used one instructions would be nice.

Good leather punch! The hole puncher cuts cleaner than most other tools! The cutter is on the flat end and not the actual puncher tube, so the bits if leather don’t get stuck, and the hole cuts much cleaner! Easy to align to the material to have precise holes. The pliers have good leverage to punch through tough leather, and I have also used it on canvas. Great tool to have in the toolbox! Looks very well made, and easy to use. Great price!

This leather hole punch feels very solid and heavy duty. The handle area opens nearly too wide for my small, female hands to grip unless it’s at least halfway closed. No instructions are included, which would have been helpful for me, since I’m new to this type of tool and since there are several places on it to make adjustments that I don’t necessarily understand intuitively. The single photo of instructions found here on the product page are still a little over my non-mechanical head, but they’re better than nothing. Still, I had to ask my husband to figure out how to make adjustments and even spin the main selection wheel. Now that I know how to adjust it, this tool is fairly easy for me to operate (other than the wide grip). You’ll want to learn to select the puncher you want, select the hole size the puncher will press thru, and adjust the spacer bar for uniformity. An included Allen Wrench is cleverly stored on the handle for making certain adjustments. I own a lot of leather chokers and fashion harnesses that can’t be tightened enough to properly fit me using the provided holes, so I was eager to make new holes safely and efficiently with this tool as opposed to attempting some creative, risky endeavor I might concoct otherwise. Thankfully, this item works perfectly, and I punched all the holes I was wanting to. I know I’ll need it again in the future, so I’m glad I’ll have it so readily available. Overall, this is a fantastic leather hole puncher (in my novice opinion) that only really needs some clear instructions and maybe some accommodation for smaller hands.
