Bought this to use as a less expensive option to make UPS labels however, using the general UPS.com shipping site, this comparative model the manufacturer says is compatible is out of date and no long supported. Meaning, you can’t direct print from their website to the printer. It’s a little longer process to just generally print but, if you adjust the print settings to “no margins / scale to 100” it prints out fine.

Wish I had read more, I didnt realize this wasnt Bluetooth, my fault. (Ive only ever gotten standard printers, and all the standard printers Ive used had Bluetooth or WiFi so I just assumed, and yeah never assume! The USB included, my Windows PC would make a boop noise, but it just did not show up on my pc no matter the USB port, so went to the official site to download the printer driver for it, Microsoft Defender seemed suspicious of it, but it installed just fine after that. For the software, in the instructions it says its says its called Labelife (dont think it was on the printers website), Microsoft Defender was even more suspicious of the software, but I figured out how to install it and it works well. Great printer fast and does a great job, happy to have a printer specific to labels and get away from the way I was doing labels before, glad it also holds the paper unlike other label printers. If the lid isnt shut properly the labels will print a bit faded, so make sure to double check its shut off all the way! \### Update ###/// I pushed the power button off to save electricity, and ended up having an issue with the machine printing incorrectly for a bit. Upon turning the machine back on it spits out a label, so I go to open the machine roll it back up, align it on the roller, and it spits the label all the way out again! I gave up and just let it waste that label and went to print what I needed to print, and it prints that label......half on the label the printer insisted shouldnt be used and half on the one that it was suppose to print on. I ended up messing with it several times, until I found out the right distance it had to be out before shutting the machine before it would print in line correctly again. I ended up wasting 5 labels thanks to a few things I was trying. Now that its aligned again, it works just fine and how I need it to, I now know never push the power button off unless absolutely necessary!

The label printer is very easy to set up. Includes a USB flash drive with drivers for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It also includes free label software if you need it. Some nice features: - USB compatible - Top button form feed - Easy to install paper roll - Uses standard 4 x 6 thermal roll shipping labels I purchased the printer because it said it was compatible with Shipstation which I use as my main shipping software. I have used the Dymo 4XL previously and this unit is more sturdy and if a label jams, seems like it will be much easier to clear as it is straight through versus the Dymo that goes between rollers and I have had issues with. Would recommend.

Keeping in mind that different products will have their own unique software and process, I will say while the installation is relatively straightforward, we ran into a few bumps in the road when used on a mac (those problems did not exist with a PC). The material quality and “compactness” of this is great because everything is together, and it can hold a decently sized roll inside. The overall size is a bit bulkier than I expected, but it’s still smaller than one I have that requires a separate stand to hold the labels. The printed manual has quite a bit of information to help you get started, but doesn’t address a lot of common troubleshooting issues. Also, I don’t know if this is specific to my model, but the manual indicated holding the feed button for a few blinks would detect the gaps - this is not accurate, it will just keep spitting paper out and requires in-app fine-tuning. Also, when you insert your first sticker, it will completely spit out and has to be removed (whereas another I have detects the label and then retracts it for use. As for printing quality, this is where things get rocky. On a Mac, when you use the app to create a custom label you can determine the print quality, however when integrating directly from online stores I found there to be wide gaps of white space and grainy text. The only way I was able to adjust this was by saving it as a PDF, then importing it to the app and adjusting the print settings there. The manual shows how to adjust the quality on a Mac, however even though I have the proper update, the print display did not offer the features pictured. You’ll want to make sure the printing space is “fit to area” and the proper label size is selected or it will print off center. With a PC, it was much easier, but I will say the included paper came in a very limited quantity and wasn’t nearly as good as a third party brand that seemed more compatible with the thermal component of this one.

Overall, this printer is solid. One nice feature is that your labels load on the inside of the unit (using rolled labels) so you dont need to consume extra desk space storing flat labels (as you would need to do with something like a Rollo). Although, I do believe there is an option to use flat labels as well with this unit if needed. Physical set up is straightforward. Install power supply & USB cable, power printer on & wait for driver prompt. Printer detected under Windows 10 via USB, but will also need a driver (ships with printer & also available from manufacturer support site). Once installed, the unit is really wanting to use 4x6 labels out of the box. However, you can also use much smaller labels (IE: 1.25 x 2.5) with some tuning & tweaking. This is where A LOT of time was spent. In fact, I contacted support & the agent said that the printer only works with 4x6 labels. I had to let him know that the Amazon offer page has 2 graphics stating the exact opposite! The unit CAN print many different sizes, but again, trial & error is involved. Also, if youre using this printer for Amazon labels with third party software (IE: Accelerlist) it WILL work. However, you will need to mess with the printer settings on the Windows side AND on the Accelerlist side. This is required to get the label to line up properly & fit all required text legibly on label. However, once all of the tedious setup is complete, this printer does print fast & accurately.

Ive been on the fence for YEARS regarding buying a thermal label printer. I do a lot of shipping and for years i have been using my laser printer to print, then cut ten tape a label, i had gotten pretty good at it and with a Guillotine Trimmer didnt take long to cut to dimension and then tape it. If youre still on the fence, pull the trigger. I know its a pretty evident conclusion and i sound ignorant just by saying it, but its almost a joy to print, pull the backing and stick it. Voila! The printer itself seems well built, it is quiet and its capable of holding the roll inside the machine which was a selling point for me, as i wasnt too excited about having to find room to hold either a stack or a roll behind the printer and taking more desk room as i am limited on my home office desk. It prints quietly (its a thermal printer, duh!) and the print quality/resolution is very good. It included a small quantity 4x6 label roll which was great for testing it and printing some labels. It included the drivers in an USB drive which was a really nice touch, setup was a breeze with its included USB cable. One thing i am not too happy about is that every time i turn the printer on, the printer wastes a label measuring the type of label it has loaded so it ends up wasting one label, this is remedied by not turning the printer off (i dont think standby uses much electricity) but i am concerned that leaving it on would shorten its life as happened with another printer i owned that ended up having a dead power supply by it. Other than that its been a great little printer, everything points at the fact that i will be using this for years and years to come, and i recommend you this one if youre looking to save desk room, printing quietly, fast and efficient.

For the price that they want for this thing it should run like a well oiled machine. Instead its the most problematic piece of crap that Ive ever dealt with. It doesnt detect its OWN labels let alone outside labels. When it finishes printing it doesnt end it with the perforation where you can easily tear the lable off, no, it leaves it in inside the printer which makes you pull it, which then makes the printer think that it is jammed and it errors out. You can temp clear the error by turning it off and on. But as soon as you print again it will error again as you try to get the label out. Going through their process of calibration helps nothing...since it cant seem to detect any label beginning or end. I went through their whole roll of labels trying to make the stupid thing work right. I finally got it to work though I dont know how, it just decided to behave all of a sudden after I pulled it OUT of the garbage can to give it one more try to be really really sure. Oh and on the roll holder I changed the smooth part of the side pieces from facing outward to facing inward...though I dont know why that would help, it was fitting fine the other way and the roll was rolling...shrugs.

This is an awesome easy to use thermal printer! I have a Mac computer and I was up and running in minutes. Super easy directions, but make sure you follow them exactly. You have to do a test print or it wont work. The thermal printer hold a huge roll of labels, so you dont have to change very often. The printer is big and really nice. I have had issues with other printers printing clearly on a Mac. Not with this thermal printer, it prints crystal clear and fast. Super fast delivery and awesome awesome value!!!

Nice little printer. Works well but couldnt connect it to my phone. Thermal printer, works well and prints quickly. Great for smaller spaces. Directions are simple enough and sets up quickly. Custom services are pretty helpful, responded quickly. Its a good little printer, priced very competitively and on the lower end of similar Thermal printers price wise, but isnt lacking in ease of use, customer service and good quality results. Id highly recommend this.

GREAT FOR PRINTING LABELS ESPECIALLY POSTAL. LOADING THE PAPER ROLL WAS SIMPLE AS WELL.
