This machine doesnt work at all. Save your money, and dont waste your time having to return this piece of garbage.

Ive used a lot of sewing machines over the years and this one is truly great. I needed something reliable and versatile while remaining in a reasonable price point, and this machine just hit all the marks for me. Watch the reviews on YouTube that compare it to similar Signer models! Happy Stitching! Oh, Im not sure what the giftable stars are all about. I gifted it to myself, and myself loved it... so I gave it 5 stars. Isnt literally anything giftable? Say giftable ten times...

Within 2 weeks of owning this machine I had to take it to a repair shop. The feed dogs would randomly go in reverse or just not feed altogether. The it completely stopped feeding. $80 at a repair shop and I just got it back. He said something was sticking in the stitch selector that caused the problem. Hopefully it will work now... but if it stops working again this will officially be a waste of money. Low star rating due to the fact that machine was defective.

The machine arrived stuck in reverse. I thought it was user error, since Im not familiar with this brand. I realized it wasnt my mistake but the machine being broken when I finally took it to a sewing class. The machine is $400, and the repair will cost $300. Its not worth the money or the hassle.

I received my machine today, and right out of the box, the feed dogs would not rise. (I had lowered them, and followed the instructions on the manual, but they would not come back up.) I had to remove the needle, the presser foot, the needle plate, the bobbin cover, bobbin, bobbin holder, and manually raise the feed dogs. Additionally, with the automatic needle threader in place, it is nearly impossible to remove the needle plate. I am not a happy camper. I tried to get support. The support button here on Amazon has a website that I cannot access without a security code. The International website had a support button that never submits a report. I am not a happy camper. I really want to love this machine, but Im having troubles even getting to know it or finding someone who cares that it might work.

The Janome HD3000 is supposed to have a heavy duty motor and and all metal casing. This machine has neither: only part of the casing is metal, and the gears grind at stitching two very thin layers of quilt fabric together, even with a walking foot and 130 chrome needle. It keeps losing thread tension. I need a machine that I dont have to baby. Even if I did keep this machine, I doubt it would last 5 years. Really unimpressed. Returning it.

one of the plastic item was missing. i found out when i was assembling these together. i bought this to mainly stitch leather, i hope the review is as promising as it seems.

I got a defective product. The bobbin wonder will not thread right bobbins-i tried with four different threads and all are messy and loose. The machine also will not complete zig zag stitches and starts sewing in place.

Love this machine. Does everything as it should. Transitions from light weight fabrics to heavy weight with no problem. So very, very easy to use. Does not have a lot of design options so if that is also what you are looking for this machine is not for you. For basic stitching and a few design options this is for you. I am in love with this machine and highly recommend it. Great, great value.
