The wife and I love sushi and also love sake with it. During the winter, I prefer my sake to be hot rather than cold. This is a very beautiful kit and gives you everything you need in order to not only have hot sake, but also to be able to serve it elegantly. The color of the vessels and the cups is magnificent. The red on the interior of the cups is a nice rich and wet look. Outstanding! It comes with a couple of tea candles which are easily purchased elsewhere when you need them, and it comes with a great little electric lighter which is rechargeable via usb. No directions came with this kit, so I would recommend that you place your sake vessel in the warming bowl on top of the cooking or candle bowl and then you add Hot water into the bowl. That way you will get your sake warmed faster. If you simply put cold water in and wait for the candle to warm it and the sake within the vessel, you will be waiting a long time. We use our tea kettle water to start and then the candle keeps it warm enough. It also comes with a case which is really nice looking as well, although, this kit is so beautiful you really want to display it uncased. Hope that helps you today.

I am looking foreword to using it

I liked the looks of this when it was ordered and it did not disappoint. This is very small but for sake you would not want something larger. Use it for that or tea. It makes a beautiful decoration piece also.

Well made, attractive set. The cups are quite nice, solid, and feel good to hold. The red color inside the cups and warming pot is not the same as the pictures. It is more subdued, almost pastel, but still a very nice look. Hot sake is not all that hot, generally not much over 100 degrees F, so the candle is a good way to heat it. Put in perspective, a hot cup of coffee can be almost 200 degrees F, and at least about 165 degrees F I’ve used it once so far and the cups held the warmth well. As expected, they were thick enough, and the temperature of the sake was moderate enough that they did not get too hot.
