> 24 hourBoth the liquid and semi-solid wax work well! But that black applicator just sheds and started to crumble first use. Dont bother with it. The wax in the squeeze bottle isnt as easy to get out as youd hope, so youll need to warm it up before trying, same with applying the wax. Great for all your wood kitchen items, not just the Boos.

> 24 hourdisappointed because both of my products were not fully filled and both were under the specified weight, so i was shorted product. the oil states 16 oz. and my bottle weighed 14 oz. with packaging, so likely more like 13 oz. the cream states 5 oz and weighed 4.8 oz with packaging, so likely more like 4. disappointing given the price point to be shorted product.

> 24 hourThe only reason for the four stars is the price: this is overpriced as a package. The oil and cream work amazing and they are amazing products. The applicator is twice as expensive as other good brands. The reason I bought it is because it comes with a cap for the sponge. I wanted something to set it in that would be mess free. The cap isn’t worth $10, but I didn’t see anything else that came with one. As far as effectiveness, I actually like the applicator a lot. Rags are a pain to clean after and so I usually used my hands to rub the oil and cream into the board. I find that the applicator works well and that I actually can use less product for the same results. Again, probably not worth it as a package, but certainly convenient.

> 24 hourThere’s no better way to protect my Boos cutting board than with these products. This keeps the board looking fresh, clean, moist and new all the time. I love the applicator which makes it so easy to apply. I’d highly recommend this to anyone owning a high end cutting board.

> 24 hourWould only use Boos products on our Boos boards. We have a couple of cutting boards and a full sized Boos butcher block table and the quality of craftsmanship is unsurpassed. The Boos brothers company knows how to take care of their blocks with these products. Easy to apply and last quite a long time. Would not buy any other product for out blocks.

> 24 hourLook at my pictures posted with my review. They speak to the quality of this product better than my review could. The oil, combined with the cream, has brought back the life of my cutting boards and restored them to their original finish and luster. My boards are also nicely sealed, moisturized, and have extended lives thanks to this. I was also able to use the product on all of my wooden utensils and wood handles on my knives. I had a knife that was years...YEARS old, and the handle had changed from a light, dried up wooden handle to a dark, rich wood that had drunk the oil & cream. My other expensive japanese shun knives with walnut pakkawood handles look brand new. I did two rounds of oil. I applied the first coat in the evening, let dry overnight, then the next morning applied a second coat of oil to allow it to soak in all day. Then that night I removed the excess and applied the board cream to finish it off and left to soak overnight. In the morning I removed the excess and all of my kitchen products look amazing. LOVE THIS!

> 24 hourSince I love to cook and have Global and Wusthol knives, I had started to look for a good cutting board. As it turns out, my roommate has a cutting board that was made for him by a high school class whose teacher served with him in the Marines. The board has feet, is 1-1/2 inches thick and is 12 x 18. He had no idea what he had and had stuck it in a cupboard under the stove. I had a handyman sand it down since someone had gauged it with a knife. Although he went ahead and oiled it and put cream on it, I started using the Boos Mystery Oil. I could be wrong but I think the proper way to do this is to squirt a lot on the board and use your hand to spread it around. I think I wasted some time in using a paper towel to do this because I was simply not leaving enough on the board. There will probably be places that soak up the oil faster than others. Just go back and spread it around some more. I am also using it on the underside of the board along with the feet. Do not ignore the edges. That is probably where it will start to warp if at all. Anyway, I am just going to keep adding the oil until the board cannot absorb more and then use the cream. I will then maintain once a month. I read where someone said that it was a chore to do this. Huh? It is actually relaxing and enjoyable to see it deepen in color. I am sorry that some people appear to have received counterfeit versions of this based on their reviews. Mine were perfect and do not have any odor. I really could not be happier with the product. When I move and have to give up this cuting board, I am sure I will buy a John Boos walnut and maple block.
