A really rock-solid, well-built mount.

Im using 2 of these; one for 2m/70cm and the other for 27 MHz. Very easy to install and the length of coax is perfect. Be sure to tighten down the 4 mount screws through the paint to the metal of the vehicle.

This is probably the most robust mount I have purchased, I will be buying more of these as I finish outfitting my vehicles with radios. Highly recommended.

The mount is mounted on the trunk of my Mazda 6. It is secure and solid. it easily holds either my Diamond 70cm/2m or MFJ 1456 antennas with ease. Highway speeds are no problem. Both the seller and product are 5 star, and I highly recommend them both.

Bought this for my Focus station wagon and it bolted on perfectly to the side of the rear hatch. In that location the length of cable gets a little tight, but Im sure with some extra effort I could get more distance out of it. It was due to the design of the car that it had to be mounted in this location, otherwise I would recommend someplace closer to the center of the roof, say, if you have a roof rack with cross members. I highly recommend going back the first few trips and checking that nothing has come loose due to road/wind vibration. It has a female SMA connector on the radio end, so you may need an appropriate adapter.

I bought mine back in 2010 and been using it since then with the only problem is the small set screws that help hold it to the lip of the body of the car you use. The set screws started to round out so the Allen key wouldnt tighten them, so I bought 8 more but these are set screwws with a round head on them that uses a bigger Allen Key. The only problem then is with the new set screws you need more room on the inside of the jam since the head sticks out about a 1/8 of an inch. I have my mount on my Conversion Vans rear door and with the new set screws I can get it ready tight now. I also drilled a hole on the side of the base where my 4 foot FireStik mounts to for a better ground by adding a ground wire This mount is great because its easy to set up and transfer to a different vehicle if needed I would buy again if needed

This thing is amazing!! It really can work anywhere and in any position. Robust and well built. Very easy to use and very secure.
