I used these to make seashell fans for my wedding. They were perfect and sturdy. I highly recommend them.

Theyre wooden sticks. Theyre pretty durable and smooth and perfect for waxing. I will say though, some others mentioned theirs arrived opened, and mine did as well. Not sure if it opened during shipping as part of the bag looked poorly sealed, or if it was sent out like that. Not a big fan of that at all...
