Keeps bird occupied but I dislike that the ropes easily come off

This is definitely NOT bird safe! I bought it and redid the whole swing! The rope material is very soft and was easy to unwrap and rewrap it in sisal! It was not attached to the swing very well and my parrotlet had it unwrapped within minutes of getting it!

In the description it listed this toy for Parakeets among others. This is way too big for a parakeet cage. However, this is a great toy for anything bigger. I liked this toy so much, I took all of the hanging toys off the ring and ended up with several hanging toys for my birds. They love them! So I ended up getting more bang for my buck!! Lovely toy!
