Not what I was expecting. It was actually very frustrating trying to remember what pocket had what in it.

My teen absolutely loves her Kavu. Love the fact that it is a bright color and that it holds quite a bit of stuff.

Here are a few reason why I love the Kavu rope bag. Its not to small but its not too big like a school backpack. I can run, jump, climb the play structures at the park with my 2 toddlers, hold their hands, carry bags and bags or grocery without having to worry about my purse sliding off my arm. The first time I purchased a Kavu bag I ended up choosing the polyester over the cotton. A part of me was trying to be organic but couldnt resist the design I wanted. My friend had a cotton Kavu rope bag. She was carrying a drink that leaked. The cotton soaked it up (and the wet spot was very noticeable...as if her bag took a leak) but it also dried quickly in the Spring. My bag has been through hell. When it gets wet it dries quickly and because its polyester the color doesnt change much. It gets thrown around, sat on or used as a pillow for my kids.The rope bag has become my purse and diaper bag. As many states the iPhone 6 doesnt fit in the front so I end up storing it in one of the side pockets...which I prefer. If I had my phone tucked away in the front 2 small pockets I would be worried of pick pocketers. Instead I store lip balm, ear buds for the kids iPad mini, car keys, small hand sanitizer bottles, etc. On one side of the backpack I store a couple of diapers, baby wipes and wet wipes, crayons, scratch paper, and emergency candy & toys. The other side carries my wallet, iPhone, more scratch notebook, 8-10 oz water bottle, snacks for the kids, chewing gum/mints, and 3 oz hand lotion. Sometimes I can also squeeze the iPad mini. The inner pocket carries bandages, a couple of floss picks, hair ties for my daughter and I, an emergency stash for that time-of-the-month, and a pen. Ive used this bag for a recent vacation on a cruise. It held all of our passports, sunscreen, facial tissue, and a roll of toilet paper (you never know if youll need it in Mexico!) We ended up heading to the beach and I have to admit, as much as this small backpack can hold I still needed a regular backpack to pack stuff for the beach. Extra change of clothes, towels, etc etc etc. There are a couple of features I would like to see or change. It would be nice if I could switch the bag to my other shoulder once in awhile but that is a minor set back considering what this bag does for me. Sometimes I just have it hang on my left shoulder like a shoulder bag. Ive had no problems with the buckle. One of the small pockets in the front is Velcro and Im noticing it doesnt stick as well as it use to but still functional. My bag needs to be washed but Im pretty darn sure itll hold up just fine in the washer. I just purchased my second bag for work. Ive been bringing my Purse/Diaper Kavu bag to work but with one side full of kids stuff its not working out as I had planned....besides Im a RN that works in the hospital and I dont like the idea of sharing my work bag with my purse/diaper bag. I need to keep things clean and separate...my fellow RNs/hospital workers would understand. So yes, there are a couple of set backs on this bag but I find the overall features on this bag out weigh the negative.

Just how I wanted it.

I ordered this KAVU backpack because I wanted something similar to a Patagonia rope-sling backpack in this color. The price and the color options looked great and so I went for it! It shipped much faster than I had expected, which was a nice surprise. Everything about this backpack is awesome! The rope/strap is SUPER adjustable. My one complaint is how small this bag is. I could not fit a standard folder in this bag without bending it, nor could I fit any vertically-large books. I guess I expected that this bag would hold more items (and that I could use it for school), but I was wrong. Fortunately, it makes for a great hiking backpack or city-going bag. Still giving 5 stars because of the fantastic service, wide range of options, and adjustable strap. Hope this helped!

I used this during a recent Disney trip and it was GREAT. Comfortable, held enough stuff including a water bottle and did not irritate my shoulder. I will be using it again when we go to Hawaii next.
