The home is older with imperfect walls. The company provided soft plastic spacers to account for imperfect walls. Super easy to install and it looks lovely.

Very nice shelf at a great price. Install requires some extra measuring as each mounting bracket is installed seperately. Take your time to make sure it is alligned and level.
