When it comes to solder and the best brand, Kester is at the top. Ive been in the electronics industry for almost 30 years and Ive tried other cheaper brands, no one comes close.

I use the .8mm size for soldering wire and components on the circuit board. It is top quality and the rosin core for electronics flows good.

Melts at lower temperatures

I have been using Kester solder since the 1970s. Cheap solders seem to have more smoke and dont flow as well. That could be my imagination but I think Kester is worth the money.

Great solder, love it.. Amazon needs to improve the packaging. The past two times I’ve ordered Kester from Amazon, it’s come in a padded envelope but damaged.

I was using terribad generic solder before deciding to fit the bill for Kester. It was well worth it! The generic stuff would look pitted and dull, even with Flux. This stuff melts extremely well and remains shiny. With extra Flux, Kester solder is light-years ahead of anything else Ive used before.

I think it was the size, but theres a lot of flux that comes out of this.
