I love the Kingdom Hearts games, but im a little sick of all the side games. This birth by sleep game gets pretty confusing with the story line. The graphics and the music are wonderful, so I need to give it credit for that. I just think the writers are getting off track with the story line.

First off, im a Huge Disney, Final Fantasy & Square Enix Fan. The presentation is amazing, it looks smooth, Runs Smooth (and thats without using the Extra 16-32 bit & Color palette options) The Kingdom hearts game series has increasingly great Final Fantasy Cameos & Fun disney worlds and thats no different with Birth By Sleep. i was kinda wary of Worlds like Cinderella & Sleeping beauty when i heard they were in this (Well theyre not exactly action based disney titles) But actually theyre Jolly Good fun. If i had more time id be more descriptive, but im short on time, So, all i Can say, is This game will Grip your Heart, & Take your breath away, its definitely worth the $39.99 (& Ignore the reviewer who rated one Star, theyre biased) My Verdict: 10/10

Wow so glad i finally got around to playing this. Yea i know im late , but oh well. Everything about it was just fun & flawless. Of course its Kingdom Hearts so i knew itd be good. A lot of people didnt consider it because its what happened before. Yea you dont get to play as Sora or anything , but playing as Ventus,Aqua, and Terra is amazing. You really start to like them and forget all about missing the other characters. It explains so much as well. Basically not playing this game is missing out. :)

I wouldnt consider myself a gamer. Sure, I have a PS2 at home with a dozen or so games acquired by my dad, but many of them have hardly been touched since weve bought them and are just collecting dust on one of our shelves. Most of these are sports games too, or car racing games for my brother, and - dont get me wrong, he loves them, but it gets kind of boring when you play the same thing over and over again. So none of us are avid gamers. That all changed when we got the first Kingdom Hearts game. For a person who had never heard of Final Fantasy or other RPG games before, it was mind-blowing. The graphics were amazing, the storyline was engaging and original, and overall, it was just plain fun. Its also the only game that my brother and I are willing to play over and over and over again, because the story never gets old. The sequels only get better from there, and Birth By Sleep is no exception. Technically, the game is regarded as Kingdom Hearts 0, since its story precedes the first game, but whatever. Its slightly different from the original in that it has better camera control and reaction commands (triggered by the triangle button), which carry over from the gameplay from Kingdom Hearts II, but in all honesty, that makes it much, much better (and a lot more fun). Reaction commands in particular change up the way your character fight, and it adds a lot more dimension to the battle so that you arent just doing a three-hit combo every time, which is what the original game offered. And the camera fix was a big plus, since its now near impossible to have your view obscured by some obstacle during battle (believe me, this can get really frustrating). Theres also the added bonus that one of the main characters (Ventus) looks like Roxas. If youve followed the series, youll know that Roxas shows up in Kingdom Hearts II as a playable character only in the beginning, and there were a ton of fans who wished he stayed that way. Although they arent the same people, playing as Ventus does alleviate this desire a bit. All in all, its a great buy, and Id recommend the game to anyone, even if they havent played anything else in the series before. The thing is, its fairly long, so just make sure youve got time for all of it.

Probably my favorite of the series. It can be considered easy even on critical until you get to the secret bosses. Then it becomes impossible and you will not win.

I hope you are patient enough to sit through the load times. There are sections where you can watch a cut scene, move a step or two, then wait...and wait...and wait (sometimes as long as 35 seconds, Ive time it). I agree with other reviews that the graphics are beautiful, the story is good, the concept of playing through the game as three characters is intriguing. When I play a game, I want to play the game, not sit through grueling load times. I understand that with such well defined and detailed graphics that it is going to take time to load the next scene, but I really just want to get on with it and play.

Im aware of the kingdom hearts series but i was really surprised by the level of content that it contained. The 3 story plots have their own uniqueness and it makes the game seem new when starting a different characters story. there is some overlap but thats expected since the 3 characters are connected so deeply.

I admit Im never very good at finishing games, but when I grabbed my existing copy to play around in the world again I noticed the crack in the case surrounding the UMD disc was so impacted that it prevented the disc from loading. So I needed another one. Birth By Sleep is one of those games in the series that goes almost TOO light on the actual cooperation between Square Enix designs and Disney characters, but remains one of the most polished in combat and options. If you want a look at how things started BEFORE Kingdom Hearts 1 happened... its a must-buy. And thankfully by this time price has gone down enough that I didnt feel bad at all for just getting a second (working) copy.

Excellent Title. This is a replacement for a copy I owned previously so I knew I’d love it. Mine arrived in good condition.
