Listen AR glasses were my first initial purchase when considering even getting in to this world. The ones I purchased for my daughter for Christmas were not fully compatible with IPhones yet( how I missed this huge piece of information I’ll never know) but I digress. I had minimal knowledge of the VR world but what I did know was that the VR owners made replacing the original head-strap a priority. Upon lots of research on YouTube everyone seemed to talk about a couple of key brands repeatedly and kiwi was one of them. I dont think I ever found a video or tiktok where someone had a strap that encompassed everything I really was looking for in one. (noise canceling + extra battery + upgraded strap) I knew that KIWI was a collectively trusted brand but doubted they had made something that checked all of my boxes without spending a fortune but I was wrong. As soon as I seen it had my boxes checked I didn’t hesitate and purchased without really getting into its details. I was beyond satisfied with the product and still am. It super comfortable, the battery is encased vs being another piece of hardware to keep up with/charge/attach, easily assembled, everything looks and feels not just comfy but well made, not too mention it’s designed for maximum efficiency. The twisting mechanism in the back resizes with one step simply wind it left or right to fit and then the hinge feature makes a handoff process a breeze. It’s worth every dime. I love love love it!

I was not connecting the battery cable properly. KIWI commented on my review and I corrected the mistake. The cord did not look like it was pushed in all the way and in the instructions KIWI said I would hear a click witch I never heard before. So I pushed a little harder and it clicked into place. I played for an hour and a half and had 99% battery life. So this would get 10 stars if possible. 5 for comfort alone and 5 for battery life. Bellow is my original comment when I was doing it wrong and unhappy about it. The comfort is 5 stars no doubt. It might be extending the battery life by around 5%. Yes, I constantly checked the menu for the lightning blot on the battery and it was always reading it was charging but the power level just kept on dropping. The head strap battery never dropped below 75% best I could tell. Supposedly if you leave everything connected and only charge the head strap, the head strap will charge the Oculus but it is the same minuscule trickle charge as when using the VR and stayed at 22% for 15 minutes so I just charged the Oculus normally and it was at 38% in 15 minutes while off. If it was just the head strap I would have given this 5 stars. The battery is just a ballast really. Im gonna re right this once I test it a little more but Ill give accurate numbers for the battery usefulness when I do.

The plug barely fits in the port, I had to push it in pretty hard for it to start charging, left it charging the quest for 2 hours and gained 7%. Sweet. A whole 5 minutes of extra battery life. Dont bother. Edit: Their support contacted me and told me that you have to press the connector into the port harder than most usb-c connectors, and, yeah, no kidding, even if you know it should be harder than most others, youre still gonna want to push it in harder than you think. It does work though, and its charging faster than it was before. Lost a star for just how hard you have to push it in, but besides that, great headstrap. For others, you gotta push until theres a click and the connector is flush with the headset.

This strap has fantastic quality and is super comfortable. The weight of the battery makes a huge difference in comfort compared to the same strap without one. Nice big hinges and thick straps make it feel solid. I have not run the battery flat yet even after playing for 4 hours. There is one major flaw though, it has no power button! It will continue to charge the Quest as long as the cable is plugged in. Even if the Quest is fully powered off and fully charged with a green LED, it will not shut off and will continue to power the Quest which will slowly drain the battery strap. Like any lithium battery powered device, if you dont plan to use the Quest for a while, you should not leave it fully charged or plugged in for long periods of time as that will degrade the battery much faster. This headstrap will continously try to charge the headset as long as its plugged in which forces you to unplug it every time which will increase wear and tear on the cable and port over time. This all could have been avoided if it simply had a power button

So I got this head set a about a month ago and it is awesome! I have played vr almost ever night since and it is the most comfortable head set I’ve bought for my quest 2. Even after hours of game play it is just as comfortable as it was the first 5 minutes. I’ve had some decent head set that would start out great but after an hour or so they would feel like they were jabbing the top of my head but this one doesn’t have that issue. Battery power is great, I know it says 2.5 to 4 hours added but my head set has stayed fully charged even after 6 hour vr sessions. Being able to flip the quest up with the hinge is a huge game changer too I’m able to check my phone and get something to drink and go right back to the game with out it going into sleep mode. Definitely worth the money!

Waaaay more comfortable than the stock oculus headset, plus extra battery life, plus has a nice angle you can put the headset into so its easier to take off and put on. If youre using the stock strap that came with your quest 2 making this switch is a no-brainer.

When I first put on my Quest 2, I kind of panicked. I found the stock strap horrendously uncomfortable, and that discomfort was keeping me from spending any more than a half hour or so in VR. After seeing that faulty Meta Brand straps were still in distribution, I really didnt want to chance spending the money to get the powered Elite strap. Enter Kiwi, with a nearly identical strap at half the price. The reviews said buy, so I did. I dont regret it, and I will recommend the purchase to anyone. I have one gripe that may not have even been worth taking a star off, but here we are: It creates too much articulation. The strap has 2 pivot points in addition to the 2 pivot point on the goggles. This is really great for getting that just right fit and angle, but for me, it just kind of irritates some of my autistic traits. I feel like I can never get the goggles level across both eyes. I nudge, tweak, and wiggle the goggles and itll seem level for a second, then I turn my head and feel a little off kilter. It isnt experience breaking, but it does cause me to over-focus on the wrong thing occasionally. To clarify, I think this is more of a psychological issue with me, rather than a fault in the product, but I also know that there are plenty of people who may play VR that process stimuli a little different from others.

I was really on the fence about spending this kind of money for this product but I am so glad I did. I didnt realize just how uncomfortable the stock head strap was until I was using this for a few hours. Not only does this make my Oculus so much more comfortable but the extended battery life this provides is awesome as I no longer have to run for a plug after a long gaming session. The headphones built into this feel great and the sound quality is good. They feel very comfortable to my ears and I like how they are built right in. Now to the cons, all this padding feel fantastic but if your moving around a lot you will notice how the areas of your skin that are in contact with it are sweating more than the areas that are not. Now the old straps just soaked up the sweat (gross I know but true) where as these dont so you will notice some moister if youre really moving. However the comfort you get from the padding greatly outweighs this negative but for some people who run really hot this might be bothersome but for me it was not but was something I noticed when I take off the headset. Overall this product is worth the price paid, the quality is there, the ease of use is there and what you get in terms of comfort, battery life, and audio make it worth the price of admission.

I waited to do a review of this set for over 2 months. So far this head unit has been excellent. 1 st the battery life is great. On a full charge you can play for at least up to 6 hours depending on the game of course. Its comfortable and nicely padded on the back where the battery sits. Its an easy install on the oculus quest 2 headset. It seems to even the load on your face from the weight from front to back making wearing the oculus more comfortable to wear for hours. I would surely recommend this unit for the oculus quest 2 as it has exceeded my expectations.
