Bought this kit about a month ago or so, and the non-contact voltage tester (the one that looks like a pen) doesnt work. It just doesnt turn on. I tried the batteries that came with it and other new batteries. Nada. The outlet tester seems to work, and I used the larger clamp voltage tester today and seems to work fine. Just disappointed with the piece that doesnt work right out of the box.

Great kit for the homeowner or apartment dweller, will get your hands wet in the world of electronics without getting shocked. I use the clamp meter for projects where I’m concerned about power usage in real time most will enjoy the no touch AC/DC power location.

Every electrician should have a meter and a tester obviously for safety and to perform/test or start and finish a job. You get what you pay for so the products work well and are (ACCURATE) which is the most important part in these products!!! and well it’s Klein you can’t go wrong it’s one of if not the best brand for an Electrician

I bought the bundle mostly cause it was cheaper then just buying the Clamp Amp/Volt Meter. I use the Clamp Meter every day on Film to monitor C-Way and Cam Lock Loads on Set. Yesterday we had a power outage on set because the electronic Ballest for the 18K Lamps were pulling 93-95Amps/115v per Leg 15 Amps/115v more then normal causing the Generator Transfer to trip.
